Ok.
So...
I just finished watching Supernatural's series finale this morning.
And like I said in my hello again LJ post just before this, I feel it is a good day. :P
(Oh, before I proceed... to be extra safe... SPOILER WARNING to anyone who might lose their way onto this page.
I haven't been back here for a while now but it's a little funny that when I came back today, one of the notifications I saw was someone also posting about SPN, but she hasn't caught up yet, still a few more seasons to catch up so... just in case anyone like her sees this, please do not proceed until after you're all caught up!)

Anyway, going back... I feel it is a good day. :)
So I guess that means, in summary, I'm happy with the finale. :P I mean, don't get me wrong, I cried a lot! But in the end, it was good. :)
I think I'll start off with the previous episode.
s15e19
I'll say this to start off: Watching SPN this season and knowing that it'll be the last one, I didn't even want to know how many episodes there will be. :P So when I watched the 19th, I thought for a bit that that was it, that was the finale finale. But I soon found out there is a 20th episode so that confused me a bit.
It turns out, they intended the 19th to be the s15 season finale, then the 20th to be the series finale. So, ok. That made more sense. It explained why the 19th felt like a finale because it had the resolution of the season's "big bad".
I liked the 19th. It wasn't all happy either. Cas was gone. Jack didn't come home with the boys. But all was well. :)
Chuck... he didn't die, which to me was a good end for him. He's not God anymore. He's human. And so, there might be a glimmer of hope for his redemption of some sort. Maybe, as he lives out his life as a human, he'll remember what he loved about his creations...
After all, we did have a nice history with Chuck. I'd like to think he can "go out" (I mean, at the end of his life, whenever that may be) not completely 'evil'.
Jack is the new God and it's interesting to think that this new God was raised by the Winchesters. :P Sam and Dean and Cas and Mary were his parents "growing up", and of course, Kelly taught him a lot while he was still in her womb...
And now he's God and he seems to be doing things a little better than how Chuck did. He's in harmony with Amara... I'd like to think what he learned from the Winchesters and from all the other humans he interacted with is influencing how he's doing things the way he is now. And it's good. :) In fact...
s15e20
He changed things in Heaven. :) So now, Heaven isn't just reliving your golden oldies, I think that's how Bobby put it. :P It's now the Heaven you deserve. :) No walls. Everybody together. Living happily ever after. :) That's awesome. :)
And well... Dean is there. Happily driving around in Baby. :) He died doing what he 'loved', I guess. He died on the job. Saving people, hunting things. And he had his fill from the Pie Fest before he went out, so that's good. xD But best of all, he was able to properly say goodbye to Sam before he went...
And that might be at least a factor as to why Sam was able to carry on after Dean died. No more trying to get him back from the dead...
He was able to start a family, named his son Dean... :) And apparently, was able to balance out normal life with the supernatural.
It wasn't very clear in the show, though I've heard a fan say it might just be because they might not have been able to get the actress back for the episode but... it might have been Eileen that Sam ended up with. :)
At first, I thought it was likely someone else, someone new, because I was thinking Eileen disappeared in the 18th. And it wasn't specifically shown if she was brought back on the 19th when Jack made everything right again... But it probably makes most sense if that was Eileen. Like Dean said, if any relationship for Sam would ever work, it would be that, because Eileen would understand the life and would be able to handle it. :)
So anyway, we saw the passage of time for Sam. :) He was there with his son every step of the way... :) And on his death bed, his son, who was sporting an anti-possession tattoo on his arm, by the way, told him it was ok for him to go, just like he told Dean. :)
And the brothers met in Heaven again. :)
Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. :)
If I could wish for anything different at all, it would probably only be that Sam had more than one son. Because from what they showed, there was only one - Dean. But who knows, it could very well be that he had other children, and even grandchildren, who just weren't shown on screen. :)
So overall, really, I'd like to commend the whole production team of Supernatural, all cast and crew, for a job well done. :) Thank you!
