Living the crazy life

Another fun weekend was had! I think it will just keep getting better from this point on. Friday was my dad's bday and we had a really nice dinner. It was sad not to have my brother there, but we called him in Spain and said hi. I miss him so much...he needs to come home! My parents are amazing, I was bummed out over relationship crap and they put it all into perspective for me. The story of their romance, and the way that they still look at each other after 33 years, inspires me to wait for a connection and dedication like that.

Later on Friday night, I went to On Broadway for the first time in a while. The last time I was there was on halloween weekend, almost 2 years ago. I went as Jem and Weston was a greaser...it brought back A LOT of memories being there. Ahh, those were fun times!

Saturday night was completely random and awesome. My friends and I decided to go out locally in Encinitas. First, we went for drinks at Chili's. Then we went to this bar called The Office, which is pretty sweet. I'm about to leave when I run into one of my old best friends from high school, Louis. We ended up chatting and it turns out he was just at my old best friend/first true boyfriend's show. Soooo, we called him up and I ended up at a random party, hanging out with my first boyfriend, Max, until 4am. Weeiiirrrddd. It was so good to catch up, though. Man, he has changed...for the better. He told me that I am still the girl that he considers to be his first love. We had a really intense relationship for highschoolers...talked about marriage even. It's weird how things work out. I never thought I'd get over him and look at me now. Just gives me even more confirmation that time heals most everything...especially in these matters.

Anyway, last night, I went to church with Jon, Brandon, Sean, Matt, and Jenn. It was such a wonderful message, as always at this new church I've been attending. I know I am blessed and that everything will unfold as it should. After church, the boys and I went to ChurchHills to play some pool. After a couple rounds, Matt, Brandon, and I came back to my apt and had a slumber party with wine and sex and the city. I love those boys. They always give me such good advice, you'd think they were women.

I am REALLY excited for this upcoming week for multiple reasons...

1. Jeff, Bethany, Elijah, and the new baby all come to visit! They are basically a part of my family, so this is very special to me.

2. I am finally taking a trip out to Arizona to see my old college roommate, Claire. She is just what I need in a time like this! We have so many things planned and I know it will be so much fun that I won't want to leave. I really just need to get away from this place for awhile, so I cannot wait! PLUS, Holland and I are driving out there together, which means a really fun roadtrip! I'm really excited, if you can't tell!

3. Something special might happen on Tuesday, but I don't want to jinx it. A lot of really random things have already happened with this situation, so it might not follow through. BUT, if it does, then I might be smiling big by wednesday. Some of you know what I'm talking about, but I'll wait to say until I know for sure how to react.

So, anyway...life is good...friends are good...God is good...family is good. I shouldn't complain about the trivial things anymore. If I am too caught up in what is wrong with the world, then I'll keep missing all of the good things. I pray that I always acknowledge the good, no matter how bad the bad is. I love you all!
