Former/Other Characters in the RP: I used to play a crazy girl named Marta. But I say we should let bygones be bygones.
How did you hear about us?: Back when I played Marta, a friend of mine played her Emil here, and she's the one who turned me in your direction! I'm not entirely sure if she's still around, though…

Character Information
Name: N Harmonia
Canon Origin/Series: Pokémon Black and White
School Year: Sixth
Gender: Male
Age: In canon, he's anywhere from16 - 18. For the AU's sake, let's say 16.
Out of school living location: In an unspecified, isolated village in Europe with his father, Ghetsis.
Blood status: Pureblood.

Personality: N is an intelligent if naive young man, with strong convictions and an even stronger will to back them up. He is extremely loyal to his father and the organization he leads, and he will do anything to realizing his dreams. He is very dedicated to this belief, and while his intolerance of differing opinions makes him seem standoffish and unapproachable at a glance, he is actually very charming and persuasive when he wants to be.

In his canon, N constantly references mathematical equations and formulas, and his manner of speaking is educated. It takes quite a bit to shake his faith and convictions, but when faced with irrefutable proof (i.e., realizing that he has been nothing but a pawn for Ghetsis' own selfish ambitions all along), he is willing to see the other side of an argument. Although it's clear that he hasn't really interacted with people outside of his immediate circle, N can talk to people… It's just his conversation topics and not the way he acts that cause others to head for the hills.

Canon Background: N comes from the world of Pokémon, a place where woefully underage and unsupervised youngsters are sent out on journeys to capture and befriend wild animals in order to use them in gladiatorial combat. N is a mysterious manchild that leads the fearsome organization Team Plasma, which is a cross between the Knights Templar and PETA. N is on a quest to free all Pokémon from their trainers in order to attain a more perfect world, and on his quest he encounters Hilda/Hillbert, the protagonist of Pokémon B&W, who then makes it their goal to put a stop to his well-intentioned yet diabolical plans.

N takes a journey to free as many Pokémon as possible with his cronies, all guided by the hand of his advisor and probably father, Ghetsis. N believes that he is a hero destined to awaken a slumbering Pokémon of yore, and he claims to be able to talk to and understand Pokémon. He is constantly defeated by the protagonist at every turn, but during his journey he eventually makes it to the Elite Four (uber trainers that specialize in a certain type of Pokémon; basically the people you need to beat to become champion of the entire region) and thoroughly trounces them, leaving them waxing poetic and crying about their defeat at the hands of a man with fabulous hair and a Menger sponge at his hip.

This journey comes to its conclusion in an awesome castle that N raises around the Pokémon League, where it is revealed that N has been manipulated all along by Ghetsis. Ghetsis reveals that his true goal was ridding everyone of their Pokémon so he could be the most powerful individual in all of Unova, simply because he'd take all the Pokémon for himself. (We also find out that Ghetsis has probably kept N in a room filled with toys and a skateboard half-pipe for the majority of his pre- and post-pubescent life, but that's another story.) The protagonist defeats Ghetsis and N realizes the error of his ways, accepts tolerance of other peoples' views, and takes off on a giant dragon Pokémon in order to go on a journey to find himself, or something heartwarming like that.

Background (AU!Canon; HP): Dogs are awesome; I used to have four. N's mother died before N was able to create any worthwhile memories of her, and as such his father is all he has known. N led an isolated, lonely childhood, and whatever human contact he had that wasn't with his father was never with children his own age. Ghetsis kept N under constant surveillance, and N learned early on never to question his father or his methods, lest he get struck or berated.

Ghetsis kept N under lock and key, and strictly monitored whatever his son was exposed to. Unfortunately, every outside influence that Ghetsis allowed upon N put anyone but a pureblood witch or wizard in a negative light. Ghetsis taught N that muggles and half-bloods were sub-human, and thus they should be eliminated or, at the very least, locked away. Ghetsis conditioned N to believe that anyone with even a drop of muggle blood is a barbarian and prone to giving in to their baser instincts. To N, all muggles are stupid, violent and hateful, and deserve nothing less than to be treated like animals.

Ghetsis gathered dozens of pure blooded witches and wizards who shared his view together in a group dedicated to anti-muggle sentiment and, befitting of a man as twisted as himself, crowned N its "king" at a young age. Obviously N was just the poster boy for this organization with Ghetsis pulling the strings, but he didn't seem to notice or mind. With an entire group of people to back Ghetsis' teachings, N's opinions on muggles were cemented and reinforced, and he now had the added responsibility of leading an army to create the "perfect world."

It was with this skewed and narrow worldview that Ghetsis sent N to Hogwarts, bidding him to spread his views and reform (or crush) any and all opposition to them. Obviously this mindset made it very difficult for N to make friends, and so for six years he kept mainly to himself, associating only with people of proven pure blood descent and going home to his father during the holidays and summer.

N is the type of person to meld into the shadows at the back of a classroom, and though he doesn't speak much, his grades are above average, and he shows a propensity for Arithmancy and Care of Magical Creatures. I also couldn't think of a better sentence to end with days.

How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor:
N has the capability to be brave in the face of adversity when it comes to his beliefs, though chivalry towards anyone is something that escapes him. He also has no issues showing his nerve when it comes to preaching about his beliefs. If you happen to share these beliefs, he will probably treat you with loyalty and courtesy… once he gets the hang of actually making friends, anyway.

Hufflepuff:
N can be considered a very hard worker in the context of what he believes in. Tolerance, like chivalry, however, is something that completely escapes him. People with different views than his own are ultimately wrong, and he won't stand for anyone whose opinions differ from his. This ties into his loyalty to his father and what his father believes in, which is unwavering.

Ravenclaw:
N is a highly intelligent individual as far as academics go (I mean, come on: in canon, he equates a ferris wheel to mathematical formulas and wears a Menger sponge on his belt. Hello, brainiac), and he has a great eagerness to learn new things, having been locked away from others for as long as he has. In spite of this desire, however, he will not accept any knowledge that clashes with what his father has taught him, and will stand firm in his beliefs.

Slytherin:
N is very, very ambitious when it comes to making what he feels is an ideal world a reality. He can be cunning and very resourceful, and his pure blood status is also a plus in the Slytherin category. He is comfortable in a leadership role (he is the king of Team Plasma, after all), and his ambitions make him effective in such a position.
