LOG: Family Reunion

Jason Dean was a lot of things, but one thing he was not was late when it mattered. Despite the fact he had been sleeping in since his release from prison he made sure he was up by 7:45 when he strolled to the park he had been out most of the night shopping for a new duster. He felt naked without it even as old as he was now he wanted his coat now that he was free. He was leaning against a tree smoking.
He had smoked before mostly because it calmed him and it made him look that much cooler, now it was out of addiction. Cigarettes were currency in jail so JD was always in the jail money with his dad sending him cartons at a time instead of money. After all who else was gonna look after him? His father was actually proud of him mostly. Who else could say their son tried to blow up a whole school? And murdered a set of football players? That was all they got JD on mostly because of SOMEONE's testimony. He was declared insane of course but even then what he did was unexcuseable. The insanity charge was thanks to his father who pulled out witnesses to his mother's suicide and played JD off as a victim of his mother's 'poor mental health' It worked. 20 to life was his sentance, but JD was smart enough to play good. He may have caused a lot of chaos but nothing that could be penned to him.
So 5 years was chipped off, and he was a free man with one thing in mind. Getting his ex back and having a talk with her. Their short relationship had predicable something wonderful, and possibly as psychotic as he doesn't see himself as. He felt he had a right to know. And damnit he wasn't pleased about not knowing so when he heard the voices approching he stepped out of the tree's and ashed his cigarette. He knew he had to still look cool. How could he not.
"Greetings and Salutations, Veronica. I think we need to have a talk."
