I wondered about Jake, too. Shame. And I note that there won't be any Mickey/Jack hugs in Torchwood! Well, Jack likes a challenge.
Glad you saw and enjoyed Rufus! Where was the gig? I saw him twice while I was pregnant (yes, and Cage aux Folles too...if nurture had anything to do with gayness, Theo would be pooing pink sequins!) and still feel envious! He was on his own? No band? Oooh. Was he wearing lots of sparkly brooches, or has he moved on from that look now? Shakespeare sounds intriguing, but I thought his Berlin project was going to be a grand opera...hmmm.
It was an outdoor concert at Kenwood, with picnic rugs and things. It was awesome, and we could hear fine, but he was a very long way away so we couldn't see much. He was completely on his own, so when he wanted to do things in three part harmony he brought on the support act and the support act's sister! As far as I could make out wearing a sort of English country gentleman get up. Brown jacket, possibly a cravat. There may have been sparkly brooches...
It may be some kind of Shakespeare related grand opera... he definitely said it was going to involve the sonnets, but not much other info.
Ugh, sorry, I did actually know it was Caan, I just wasn't paying attention.
Jake... now that I think about it I'm pretty sure that RTD said somewhere that it would've been canon and maybe the scene was written but never filmed, or not written but intended... I'm sure he said Jake/Ricky was canon, which means Jake/Mickey is a reasonable assumption (because we know how RTD feels about cross-alternate-universe relationships working out). But no, Google has not led me to actual evidence. Which is presumably why they didn't feel like they needed to mention him in the episode.

Jake? He must have died. Seeing as that was a deleted-scenes-canon relationship...
What what what? Youtube links or it didn't happen.
I am so bored of hearing opinions on Rose that I have decided officially to not have one.
Amen.
I Was also very sad about the ending, but for my own, very misshapen reasons.
