JK Rowling confirms Dumbledore was gay.
Actual news, as far as I can tell. This is pretty glorious, really.
I am a bit sad that she was there, she was in the gay place in her head with someone... and while the fact that it was Dumbledore is completely awesome, you've got to wonder whether it just didn't occur to her about Remus or whether she thought about it and she just liked him better straight or what. But it's interesting that it's him that my little corner of the fandom reads so much as gay when she was thinking it about someone else.
The first Harry Potter fic I ever wrote (to be fair, the first of about three, none of which you can see) was a Dumbledore/Snape fic...
