Ooh, ooh. More Discworld fangirly news. Firstly, I loved Wintersmith *snuggles it*. Secondly: 9pm, BBC4, Mark Lawson talks to Terry Pratchett. For an entire hour! *squee*
Paul Kidby's website (http://www.paulkidby.com/news/may2006.html) seems to be practically the only reliable source for Discworld info I can find on the net, which seems odd when I'm used to whedonesque and its hundreds of members all keeping a weather eye out for even vaguely Joss-related news. Still, an idle flick through reveals pictures of the filming of interviews with Death on Sky in the run up to the airing of Hogfather, a whole Hogfather cast list which actually I shall reproduce here because it is so full of squee, some great pictures of the wizards hanging around with cups of tea and one of Marc Warren/Teatime looking nicely bonkers if you poke around a bit, and somewhere on here I read a lovely rumour about Sam Raimi of Spiderman and Evil Dead fame being interested in doing a Wee Free Men film. I mean, seriously.
That and the site is full of pretty shiny Paul Kidby merchandise which I don't dare even look at right now. For the record the Paul Kidby version of Discworld is amazingly accurate to what's in my head, apart from Susan, who when I checked the books I realised that I'd ignored what little description of her there actually was, so eh.
