Today was excellent!
I got to work with my fav new CP ever, Kelly. We laugh about everything. I spelled Eric wrong (weric) and we went to town, laughing about it for five minutes and repeating weric over and over. Plus we prank called Eddie and fell to the floor in a fit of laughter. But best part ever, a dog!
This guy came in and I was working on an order so I didn't realize he had a dog with him. He was asking about prices and everything and all the sudden he goes, "Up! Come on girl, up!" and this adorable 14 month old puppy pops up to the counter. She was a golden lab/retriever mix and she looked like she had a little hound in her too. Too cute. So he was training her, from the time she was six months old to be a companion for a disabled child. In a few weeks he has to give her up so she can break the bond with him and finish her training, so he wanted to get a hat for her. He gets to see her again on her "graduation day", the day she's given to a family and he plans on then giving the hat to the child she'll spend the rest of her life with. I was so excited to do this hat I put it aside so only I had the chance to do it. lol
So we fell really really behind because some moron that doesn't know her ass from her elbow doesn't know how to space orders correctly. I hate her, and now even have more of a reason to. I had three towels to finish in 15 minutes but when this guy came back it completely didn't even matter. I got her hat and put it on her and it was like the world stopped for everyone around us. Guests were taking pictures, Eddie stopped to talk to the guy and people were gathering around like it was storytime. Me and Kelly got to take pictures with her, Zenon (lol), Zena for short and the owner gave me his e-mail address so he could send us the pictures! I was so excited this dog was absolutely adorable, well-behaved and docile and any child is lucky to have her. Eddie gave us both fanatic cards for it and while telling the story to Erin at the bus stop, a girl that works at guest relations was like, "That guy came in and wrote you guys an applause-o-gram!"
I complain a lot because I always feel like I give great service to a lot of people but never really get recognized. But its when you don't even realize how invested you are in someone's story that you're doing what we're always supposed to be doing. It sounds really gay but it makes the horrible pay and shitty hours completely worth it. Its stuff like this that's the real brainwashing in Disney. fo sho
And I just made rice krispie treats. Just try and beat my day.
