The Last Kiss, by hearing the title i thought it was somekind of new romantic movie, but what i thought before was far from the typical romantic movie i've seen before. Somehow i like the movie very much, not because it's not so mainstream or whatsoever but it kinda resembles the reality in which everyone of us are struggling with. For example,we demand honesty, but in fact honesty isn't the thing that we really want to hear and what about other stuffs like commitment, trust and sacrifation?Maybe we keep telling ourselves to keep on track on those kind of things but in fact the lifekeep telling us some other bitter sweet realities? So, why not sharing the story?

Zach Braff plays as Michael, a man who has everything at his feet; a beautiful girlfriend who is deeply in love with him, a collection of dependable friends, and a baby on the way. What more could you want? How about something new and refreshing? The real reason, unbeknownst to anyone, is that Michael feels trapped and scared Although he considers Jenna an ideal companion, Michael is harboring second thought . That’s exactly what he is in search for when he meets potential home-wrecker Kim (Rachel Bilson) at a wedding of one his friends.

As Braff’s character slowly discovers what he really wants in life is everything he always had, his friends and family around him begin to discover what is important in their lives as well. While the idea of everyone in a small circle coming to terms with what from their life is highly unrealistic, the dialogue and situation set-up is sublime.

As i've written on the previous paragraph, beside the story about Michael and his so-called love life problems, there were some other side stories introduced from the people around Michael such as Jenna's Parents, his friends : Chris, Izzy and Kenny who had to deal with their own love life problems. In brief ,Jenna, Michael's girlfriend's parents were having some kind of marriage crisis when everything seems to be fine and a confession of Jenna's Mother to her father, that she had fucked another guy. Chris who had been stressed with his brief marriage life. Izzy who are not ready for a commitment and Kenny who are obsessed with his highschool sweetheart.

In fact, The last kiss didn't dissapoint at all, Michael's character in this movie had succeed to deliver an emotionally powerful perfomance as the guy you would love but you feel you have to hate at the same time..Isn't it reflecting someone you know? or maybe.. YOU?

Well, just like the tagline said :

We all make choices, what's yours?
