WARNING: Long livejournal post ahead. Because...stuff.

first of all, big news: THE FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT DIDN'T PASS! it wasn't expected to, but still...it makes me so FREAKIN' HAPPY! take that, Bush, you sonofabitch! *dances*

second...I'm a red-head! not a very natural-looking red-head, but I still love it. that Natural Instincts stuff is awesome, dude, the commercials are right - my hair does feel healthier than before I colored it. yay! I should put up pictures.

I have six days, not counting the weekend, to do 17 essays/writing projects. I am such a stupid little person. but...if I do three a day it should be fine, plus maybe I could do something on Sunday...crap, man.

the cause of this is that I'm going down to Michigan with Dad next week, and apparently we could leave as early as Wednesday. which means I'm either going to be in Michigan or in the car on my birthday...so, yeah. it's going to be weird either way, but whatever.

I want too many things for my budget. >_<
two Pink Floyd CDs - Wish You Were Here and the Wall. Rebel Yell by Billy Idol. Queer as Folk Season 1 on DVD. Firefly on DVD. Tour of Duty Season 1 on DVD. damn it. ah, well, work is coming soon.

I can't wait to see Mark. I wonder what he looks like. I wonder if he's going to like seeing me in that schoolgirl outfit...yeah, he has a fetish. lmao. it's so not right that we haven't seen each other in so long...I mean, he's like my brother. except for the little detail of all the other stuff. god, our relationship is weird. >_<

I'm a little bit bummed. Ryan had to cancel for prom, but Kayla is still going with Alex, so I'm going to be third-wheeling it all night. hopefully it won't be too crappy.

You Are 76% Open Minded

You are so open minded that your brain may have fallen out!
Well, not really. But you may be confused on where you stand.
You don't have a judgemental bone in your body, and you're very accepting.
You enjoy the best of every life philosophy, even if you sometimes contradict yourself.
How Open Minded Are You?

You're 70% Irish

You're very Irish, and most likely from Ireland.
(And if you're not, you should be!)

You Are Austin

A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.

You're totally weird and very proud of it.

Artistic and freaky, you still seem to fit in... in your own strange way.

Famous Austin residents: Lance Armstrong, Sandra Bullock, Andy Roddick

What American City Are You?

Your Personality Is Like Acid

A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your own little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell!
What Drug Is Your Personality Like?

You Are a Freedom Rocker!

You're stuck in the 70s - for better or worse
Crazy hair, pot soaked clothes, and tons of groupies

Is that freedom rock?... Well turn it up man!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

What Sort of Artist Should You Be?

I am so incredibly addicted to those things.

giant bones

they’re all around you
ants and spiders
wasps and flies, swarming
like you’re already dead
a carcass rotting where
you sit

she doesn’t think my poetry is poetic
but I’ve said it before
it isn’t
poetic, or profound, or
beautiful
it just is
like the rest of the world

just a misstep but it
was there, a beetle
under my heel and it
made a cracking
noise as its shell split
and all its
insides spilled out

old stones

I dreamt I went to
a monastery,
and the priest
was raping
little girls.
one
of them came to me
and asked me for help -
I couldn’t give it
couldn’t stop
the man in black who used
God
as his excuse
to violate children.

skineater

I’ve been so thirsty and
is that why I’m sick?
I drink greedily and the water drips,
drips
spilling the world’s life-energy
on my hot skin

still famous for seeing things
the figure in my window, it’s
my reflection
that scraping, rustling in the trees
the wind?
just my imagination, running
away with me
irony

blood in my mouth
will it give me cavaties if
I don’t clean my teeth?
almost too late
my skin won’t heal

concrete wings
stone angels
stoned angels
dancing in the dark
(jesus said to not be
homophobic)

lissadell

I want a woman
oh, the feel of her
smooth and soft and
curvy, like me
I want her quiet understand

we would float
together, drifting lazily
in and out of
reality
beautiful, the pair of us
entwining limbs and just
together

kiss her lips
delicate, lenient
taste of vanilla, strawberries
taste wouldn’t matter because it would be
her, it would be us and
we could go dancing
under the stars…

feedback, anyone? come on now. press the button. the Force commands you.

to end this...I taped (haven't yet watched) a movie called "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead". Clive Owens and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers both in one movie, with both their accents intact no doubt. I hate what the American movie-makers have been doing to poor Cillian Murphy's lately. *pouts*

but yeah. going to watch it sometime, should be good. good night!
