I just had the unhappy responsibility of telling my friend Sandra that the job she was just hired for, the one she was so excited about, is a scam. Something hadn't sounded quite right and after a bit of research I found out that the office job she had been hired to quickly turned into peddling knock-off perfume on the street because there actually is no office job. She had turned in her notice and everything at her current job. There was talk of a little going-away party. I'm glad this was found out before she actually quit. Things would have gone bad for her rather quickly.
There are an awful lot of these scams running right now. I bet they're getting fat and happy off the rotten economy. It's horrible the way people will exploit a weakness like this so easily.
