Delusional
Cutler awakes in those pitch dark hours between midnight and the first light before dawn. He yawns, blinks hard, focusing the fuzzy darkness around his eyes, and finds that he left a candle burning; which is now practically a puddle on his desk. In the shadow of the candle there is a figure hunched over; a dark haired young girl wearing white. She has one of his quills and is writing furiously. Every now and again she will pause, look up and regard him with huge dark eyes.
The eyes, their penetrating scrutiny, are what make Cutler cry out.
