I've been lured away from Twilight by the wonder that is Firefly, Serenity, and the first season of Battlestar Galactica, so I need a kick in the butt to get my head back into Twilight.
THEREFORE, MEMETIME : After the Happily-(And-Not-So-Happily)-Ever-Afters.
Ask me about what happened after any of my fics, including drabbles. And be adventurous my

Gah! Jenny. So, I'm actually working on Jenny fic right now, so I can't give anything much about THAT away. But I will tell you about what happened before "Love Song in Pencil", because I'm cheating.
So, Jenny and Billy are actually really good buddies. She comes over during some of her spares. Neither of them talk much; usually he drinks coffee and reads the paper, she sketches and does the crosswords, and in between she asks him questions about woodworking and stories about the Quileutes.
There's one day Billy's out but Jacob's home and there's some Awkward Conversation and she ends up sitting there staring fixedly at her sketchbook while Jake makes breakfast. Jenny's pretty much freaking out and mumbles a lot but Jake is kind anyhow, and just as she's about to leave Jacob grabs her wrists and she just about hyperventilates and then she realises he's just looking at her wrist, which has a small wooden charm on it - a sparrow. He asks her about it and she tells him that Billy taught her how, and she finally escapes.
Then she goes out and collapses against a tree and she doesn't cry, but she can't quite remember how to breathe, either.
Down the road, Bella Swan gets a beautiful grad gift and Jacob is gone and Jenny watches the ocean and she doesn't mourn, because nothing ever really belonged to her, anyway. There's nothing to mourn.
THAT'S the short term and depressing ending. The long term and happy ending is that she eventually winds up with Embry. XD Which is the focus of the fic I'm (trying to) write right now.
p.s. MAD ICON LOVE. My love for Office x my love for BSG is just reaching crazy epic amounts. XD

JENNY AND BILLY ARE SO COOL. They have an odd kind of friendship, because neither of them really speak very much, but Jenny's an old soul and so they get each other just fine.
ALSO, A FICBIT FOR YOU COS YOU'RE AWESOME :
“My daughters are a little older than you,” he says. “Rachel and Rebecca.” He takes a long, slow sip from his coffee mug, and looks at her with those deep set eyes that always seem to be weighing her. “You’re nothing like them.”
A brief laugh escapes Jenny at that, just a whisper, a rustle of laugh. No one needs to tell her that she’s nothing like those gorgeous, feisty Black girls. She prefers to hide behind her bangs and her sketchbook and her long skirts than go blazing through the world.
“I suppose,” Billy says, squinting at the ceiling, “that once you’re done with your project, you won’t come round anymore.”
Her fingers still on her pencil, surprised. “… I wouldn’t have a reason anymore,” she says, cautious, her words almost a question.
He’s still squinting at the ceiling as he says, mildly, “You could come over for coffee.”
A bit of a smile tugs at her mouth, and her fingers grasp her pencil again. “I don’t drink coffee,” she says.
“I know,” Billy says.
“Ahh,” she says, and that bit of a smile blossoms into a real smile, even though she suppresses it.

Oh, a warning... the Jenny/Embry fic is not all puppies and kitties. There is angst. It's not completely hopeless, but it's not sunshine and rainbows, either. *feels terrible for the spoilage* XD
I actually watched BSG because of Dwight’s love for it and the frequent references to it on the show.
OH MY GOD, I AM TOTALLY GUILTY OF THE SAME THING.
I mean, my mentor and my brother and my cousin were all bugging me to watch it, but it was DWIGHT who finally convinced me. XDXDXD
Michael even did an Adama slow-clap during one of the Season 4 episodes.
I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THIS. I feel the mad urge to rewatch S4... Dwight would totally compare Michael to Adama. I think that if he ever tried to get Angela to watch her, her mouth would twist into a prune at No. 6's dresses. Or lack thereof. XD

... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. XDXDXD
STARBUCK. Omg, Dwight totally is a Starbuck fanboy.
Egads, I just finished 2x06 and 2x07 ("Home", Pt. 1 and Pt. 2) and GAH! The Kara/Lee! The Kiss of Mega Awkward! The pyramid ball! The "You loooooove me"!
*DIES*
The rough part is that I really, really like Sam (even though he's only been in a few episodes) and I'm all D: for where Kara/Lee is going - wherever it's going. AS IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS ALREADY. XD
But one of the things I love about BSG is how I feel so attached to it - to the story, to the universe, to the questions they're asking, and to what the creators are trying to do - beyond the ships. I can't say the same for Twilight, bleh.
I don't even want to watch the next episode, "Final Cut" because it's the last on the disc and that it'll be all the BSG I have until I get together with my mentor and he can lend me S2. I almost feel like being REALLY LAME and asking him to lend me S3 at the same time, but then I won't leave my house, um, EVER, because BSG is just one of those things that I would totally shun all social engagements for. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD. XD
