That evening, when Charlie puts the first bite of the stroganoff in his mouth, there is one moment when he swears that Bella is alive.

That killed me.

Also: I told you that you couldn't write anything I'd hate. XD These are all so lovely, even though they're not Jacob/Bella.

I think I like your Edward; he's got flaws, and he makes sense. :3 You've got a habit of making unlikeable canon characters likeable. (Like Bella... I always love your Bella, of course. XD)

Charlie makes my heart hurt, the poor man. D:

Oh, I've still got dead!Jacob fic up my sleeve somewhere, and then you can flame all you like. XD

I was absolutely indifferent to Edward in New Moon and Eclipse, and I had no idea how I was going to write these - and then I listened to Coldplay's "The Scientist" again and my brain went, "Ahhhh. So that's why I loved him."

Bah, canon? I make up my own canon! XD

And again, as always, thank you so much for reading and commenting.

"She begins to light candles on the day she is turned. The number of candles grows, as the years go by. Charlie. Renee. Phil. Jacob. Billy. Angela. Sam. Emily. The candles are tongues of rose and gold that flicker and almost seem to bring her pale, pale skin to life and sometimes (only sometimes), she envies them the luxury of dying. "

Man....you really got me there.... such stab of pain..because it was just that GOOD...and it hit a spot inside of me. The idea of lighting candels for the dead...the idea of lighting them for everyone who leaves you, its just something that hits really close to home.

I really enjoyed reading this! Thank you for writing it for me! :) *hugs*

We've been totally brainwashed by Menagerie, my friend. I always light a candle or two whenever I write late at night; it just seems like something that Tom would've done, while he wrote poetry on the lids of shoeboxes.

I'm glad you liked ze fic. :D And damn, you made me re-discover some long-dormant Edward!love. XD

"Instead, he listens to her breathe. To the miracle of her breath. Just an ordinary woman, breathing. Young, and human. Living. Alive. "
That, right there, is beautiful.

Thank you. :D And that last part was inspired by the wonderful poem "The Death of Marilyn Monroe" by Edwin Morgan.

“No,” Edward says, gently. He thinks of Debussy, a navy blue hood pushed away from a pale face, brown hair curling slightly in the rain. If you’ve seen the things I have seen. “You wouldn’t.”

That was perfect!

<3 I love your Edward.

Thank you!

I'm normally a J/B writer; writing E/B this was unfamiliar territory to me, so I'm glad Edward worked out for you. :D
