a break
I got back from my first vacation in a couple of years. Such a nice little getaway break. We got a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina and hung out for a few days. I was excited to find the Dark Shadows game at one of the local antique shops, and engaged in a little geek out upon spotting it. Later that night I won, barely, which was good for my ego after my unspeakable loss at Stratego the previous night.
It was nice to get away to some place neither of us have been and to just relax without any thought or agenda aside from enjoying one another's company.
It'll be strange going back to work tomorrow, especially on what is usually one of our busy days at one of the busiest locations. I am eagerly awaiting the beginning of my new career. Everyday brings the anticipation of that envelop greeting me from the mailbox, offering a new chapter in my life.
