Rain rain go away...

Nov 09, 2005 11:13

Actually...I'm glad it's raining....and not snowing..like it would any other year in Rochester at this time. We've been having unseasonably warm weather...and it's kind of scaring me.

I've had so much work lately it's amazing. This week is my last week of class...and then next week is finals week. Next is my birthday (21! woo!) on the 18th, and then I have a week off before we have to start our next quarter. Damn quarter system college. Oh well. I think next quarter will be less stress than this quarter...let's hope!

Well just because I've had tons and tons of work to do...doesn't mean I haven't been knitting. I've probably been knitting too much....(but then I knit while reading, and I've had a lot of reading for school work).

Yesterday I cast on for 2 socks. (I really don't know either.) From some yarn that has been sitting around in my stash. One is the sock above...the Lorna Laces in Neon..and the other is some Interlacement toasty toes that I have left over from a HUGE hank of yarn that I made a pair of fingerless mittens from.

Ahem. Well it's been sock land over here...mostly because I know soon the snow will set in...and I'll be living in my Doc Martins, knee high socks and skirts. (I wear skirts even when it's beyond frigid out) But this year I'd like to have handknit knee highs.
I finished the charity socks..and I've also been working on my knee high Cherry Hill socks.
And did I mention I'm spinning up a pound of Romney to become knee high socks? Yeah. Sock addiction I swear.

This is the hand spun I made up for Bertha...It's the first time I've ever tried doing thick and thin on purpose...It was hard to get used to at first because I've been on the must-make-perfectly-even-yarn-track...but it felt good to know I could still do it.

I went to two halloween parties...one of which was my own. Halloween is my favorite! The other party was friend's of my boyfriend.
The knitting might have made an apperance.

I barely knew anyone...(I had a lovely chat with the drunk girl behind the knitting....about dying hair!) and everyone was crazy drunk...I however was driving...so I just knit instead.

Myself and Ethan-the-boyfriend....I was Greekish...and he was Batmanish...so ignore the stupid black stuff on his face.

Maybe I'd have more time to post if I posted during the time I usually spend looking at blogs and lj....

Well I think that's all I should be allowed to post at once, eh?
