(no subject)
Today I officially became a Littleton. The name change process was actually really quick and painless. Show up at the Social Security office with your marriage certificate, wait in line, sign a piece of paper and tada! We also went to my bank and changed it as well as put J on my account...temporarily. My parents originally co-signed for the account and so they have to sign that J is allowed to be on the account. And you cant take a co-signer off the account either so at some point we will likely close down the account and add a new one. But its fine for now. I am blessed to have awesome parents who do not interfere in my personal life or my finances unless asked for advice.
I am incredibly glad to be home and so glad I took the day off. J & I had a delicious Tex-Mex lunch at Chuys! Also grocery shopping.
Because we (A) are frugal and (B) have so many awesome friends and (C) ran out of room in our luggage to buy souvenirs, we have leftover money! Some will go to paying off some honeymoon expenses I put on my credit card like the hotel and plane tickets. Some will go to paying off some debt so we can prepare for the future baby. Some will go towards buying us stuff for the home, like blankets for our new king-sized bed and a new TV. And we get a little bit for ourselves, for fun money. I just bought a ton of DVDs off Amazon for really cheap. Hooray!
And now its time to shift gears a little bit. The wedding is over. In the very near future we need to fill out our wedding memories book and send out thank you cards. I need to register for a class at ACC and find a therapist. And then begins the shift towards impending motherhood. I ordered a book about what to expect before you're expecting. I need to eat better and join that really cheap gym up the road. I need to start correcting some bad habits and keep the floor cleaner. I need to enjoy my last little bit of time where I am mostly in charge of my own life. And then we will try to make a baby.
