Wow, hasn't that guy ever read the bible? What an idiot. Leah is one of the most well known names and it's widely accepted that it is pronounced LEE-YAH.

I had a customer mispronounce my name and make fun of me at the same time.

I would say that Leah = Lee-yah (or Lee but it's the first pronunciation that I tend to think of) and Leigh = Lee anyways! Seriously, I don't understand some of the things people find acceptable to say to complete strangers lol.

I totally do not believe that the customer is always right. Retail store or not, there are times when the customer is flat our wrong wrong wrong and needs to be told so. Buuut, that's just the World According to Krissy :)

And to be told you spell your own name wrong! WTF?! That was just someone being an ass to be one.

LOL One of my favorite stories! I mean...how do you go about telling someone how to spell their own name correctly?!

hey, sorry, just wandered here via Writer's Block--I hope you don't mind.

What makes this guy even stupider than correcting you about your name is that he was doin' it wrong. Leigh=LEE, not LEE-ya. I know this because I get people telling me that my name is spelled wrong because "Lee is a boy's name. Girls are supposed to spell it Leigh."

So yes, epic fail on his part. That is all.
