1) [info]ncis_verse I got started this past case. I was waffling on whether or not to join and then heartundone offered to write something for each of her followers that joined. Well that was all I needed. I absolutely love it and I have made wonderful friends from it.
2) fanfic The first fanfic I ever wrote was WWE wrestling fanfic (it was never put on the interwebs, thank God). The first one that I put out for public consumption was the Tony/Ziva one I wrote about a month ago.
3) Shakespeare (because of your username) My username is from one of my favorite paintings
I was that dorky kid who read Shakespeare for fun in middle school.
4) furry, four-footed friends My boys-Helo (named after one of my favorite characters in BSG) was about two months old when we got him from the shelter. Saffron did not like Patrick and so he wanted a cat that love him and he got it in spades. He had been in a house fire so his hair was singed off a little and his nose was blackened, but he was adorable and would sit on your shoulder. He is an light orange (think creamsicle) and he is very jumpy. Rowdy was at the shelter when I was volunteering there and he just kept not getting adopted. He was so sweet and he got along with every cat they put him with. I went in one day and someone had sponsored him (they paid the $75 so that someone could adopt him free) and we had been talking about adopting another cat because Helo literally scratched through the drywall and Saffy hated him in his face. Rowdy is my little co-dependent kitty, he follows me everywhere and just wants to be petted.
5) Galactica - new vs. original? I have only seen bits and pieces of the original, but I loved the new. I started watching with the miniseries and got my husband (who was an original viewer and therefore skeptical) hooked.
The five from alidiabin
1.Geekness- I have loved scifi and fantasy books and tv ever since I can remember. Ender's Game was and still is one of the best books I have ever read. Also, I play D&D. I am good intentioned but tend to be awkward and inappropriate in most situations. Going to Dragoncon is one of the highlights of my year.
2. NCIS verse-I love it and I have learned how to do so many new things in the process of this last case. I'm excited to start again.
3.armchair psychology- I like to know what makes people tick and so I look up personality disorders and mental illnesses and figure out what I and the people around me have. I don't necessarily tell them, but I can see where they are coming from. It puts me more at ease.
4. Books - I used to get into trouble for reading all the time. I would eat and read, walk and read, read while I was supposed to be doing things around the house. I had a friend once who used to call me Book. There is a movie called The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain, and everyone in the town had one of three last names so they called them for example Jones the Butcher. Since I worked at the library and constantly had a book in my hand he called me Lisa the Book and then shortened it to Book.
5. Family - "I'm saying this is the South. And we're proud of our crazy people. We don't hide them up in the attic. We bring 'em right down to the living room and show 'em off. See, Phyllis, no one in the South ever asks if you have crazy people in your family. They just ask what side they're on." -Julia Sugarbaker ( Designing Women). I think that that quote absolutely represents my family. I was really close to my mom and ever since she passed I have been trying to be better about keeping in contact with my father and my aunt.
The five from heartundone
1.Team Morgue -I was so excited to be put on your and Kathi's team. I was really nervous, but you all have helped with every question I had. Go Team Morgue! (it's where all the cool chicks hang out)
2.NCIS:LA- I started watching it when it first came on, but it didn't really catch my interest. I was in love with Chris O'Donnell for a time when I was younger, but I just didn't click with the characters. Then I happened to catch an episode with Deeks and I was obsessed. I have bought both seasons now and Patrick said I thought you didn't like the first season very much, so I had to explain that you meet Deeks in the last of the first season so I had to have it too.
3.Eric Christian Olsen- I love him, he is just adorable and scruffy and lovable. He is also funny and he can sing (as witnessed on Community). He and Daniela Ruah really make that show for me. It also doesn't hurt that he is nakey in at least 2 of the 4 movies I have seen him in.
4.Dragons-I fell in love with the story you and kytivafan wrote! I'm also a big fan of Albi the Racist Dragon (a song by Flight of the Concords).
5.Bones-I was absolutely not going to watch that show, until my friend had me watch one episode and then I was hooked and have watched 5 seasons in like 2 months. Also, I have a thing where I don't like people to touch where my bones stick out like the places on your wrist or your collarbone. It makes me sick to my stomach which is mostly hard to do.
