mornings, what are they good for
I went to bed early and woke up early, all RAWR GONNA WORK ON MY PORTFOLIO WEBSITE AND WATCH LYNDA VIDEOS AND WHEEEEEE!
Then I got to the kitchen and saw all of last night's dirty dishes needing loaded into the dishwasher and all the wind went right the hell out of my sails.
I've been reading Blindness by Jose Saramago. I'm about halfway through. It's a good story, but the writing makes it hard to read, or stay awake for. The dialogue is unpunctuated, and the paragraphs run on for pages. I don't know if this is the way things are done in the original Portugese or if it happened during translation or if this is a stylistic choice of the author. If this last, I wish he had made some other stylistic choice. I really don't think style should get between the audience and the story.
