Heh, I've been toying with Megan Fox as Melanie in my head, too :D

I really don’t like how Jared calls Melanie’s body his and that point is beaten into our heads over and over again. A man should not own a woman’s body. She owns it.

LOL You've obviously not heard of the 'Alpha Male' stereotype prevalent in romance novels. Jared is a very typical example.

Gosh, I thought this was directed at me xP Oh, well. I feel I need to answer anyway because I brought it up.

I've heard of the stereotype and read some with them in it. [trashy romance novels are my guilty pleasure and The Black Daggar Brotherhood is full of alpha male types] I just didn't like how he referred Melanie's body as his, rather than Melanie being his. It's the possession of the body, rather than the person that irked me.

P.S. I may just be letting my cranky feminst run loose again.
