That was longer than I had anticipated, but it's done now! General Disclaimer: Please, please don't freak out at the length. I tend to ramble and get excited and the contents of this letter are by no means expectations! But here goes nothing!
Hello! Again, I apologize for the lateness of this letter, being a working, full-time college student does not give me a lot of leeway in terms of time, so I have been trying my best to get this up in a reasonable amount of time. I did not expect the assignments to go out so quickly! (Though, it’s exciting that they did!) But hey! We matched! This is very, very cool and I am super excited to have fic for one of these fandoms, and really looking forward to seeing what you come up with! As always, I’d like to mention that I like to give options, but if none of my prompts work for you or you get overwhelmed or inspired by something I said in my likes or something else--they’re just prompts, feel free to write the story you want and are comfortable with! I am sure it will be fantastic. I struggled really hard to narrow down these requests to these six fandoms, so there’s definitely no fandom here I want more than the other-all of these would make me happy. In additions, there are SPOILERS for every single fandom here, so if you're vaguely interested in something we didn't match on and want to go into it unspoiled, I'd scroll by really quickly.

General Things I Like: I happily read all kinds of fic: gen, het, slash, femmeslash, poly. Almost all is okay with me, but I am a very emotionally oriented person. I love exploring a character’s thoughts and feelings, what it is that makes that character tick and make the choices they do. I’d rather have purely character thought-piece over a complex well-plotted fic with no emotional heart. I’m such a schmoop at heart and prefer happy endings, but a bittersweet ending won’t send me into fits. Just go where the story takes you, as long as it’s not utterly heart-wrenching and breaks me into a million pieces, we should be okay (though, even if it does break my heart, I trust it’d be because you struck a chord with me and I’ll love that regardless of the sadness).
I’m not against porn! I just don’t want it to be the whole story and prefer it to be emotionally anchored; not necessarily romantic, but something with a connection and a reason for it happening beyond two (or three! or four!) pretty faces. Some of my porn-y kinks include: angry!sex, fighting-that-leads-to-sex,powerplay, oral sex/cunnilingus, licking, fingering, dirty!talk, biting/marking/scratching, public sex, heat-of-the-battle sex, frantic sex, up-against-the-wall sex, jealousy and possessiveness, mild bloodplay, mild voyeurism, mild bondage. But mostly I’m an intimacy kind of girl with a huge trust!kink. I love tenderness and sweetness, just little touches here and there: hand-holding, forehead/face kisses, snuggling and cuddling, nuzzling, hugs from behind, neck kisses. Lots of kissing in general is lovely. I love the “we like each other so much that we can’t stop touching each other in any way” trope a lot. Simple casual intimacy is fantastic.
Relationship-wise, I adore friendships in all forms and I love exploring what it means to be friends and the bond between characters. I love emotional history and how that affects a relationship dynamic between characters. Friends-turned-lovers is a favorite trope of mine, as well as love/hate dynamics. I love snark and banter and flirting, but I also love new relationship awkwardness and bonding. For any relationship to happen, I want some connection at the base before it turns romantic or sexual. If you’re dealing with a poly-relationship, I’d love to see how the characters deal with that new dynamic and how they adjust into their new roles.
I really dig domesticity and what makes a home a home, and how being a family to each other plays into that and how the characters come together in that way. I adore makeshift families and kid!fic in any form. I love cooking and doing chores, and quiet breakfast scenes over coffee or tea. If you want to add pets, that would be wonderful! (I love all kinds of animals, but cats have a special place in my heart.)

PROMPT: Ever since I finished American Gods, I couldn’t stop thinking about Shadow and Bast’s relationship and how much they intrigue me and how I just want more of it. They kind of accidentally became my OTP and I have been searching for fic about them for ages, but to no avail. I’d absolutely adore anything for them from simply just the two of them interacting again to something romantic happening to just gen about them separately. If you’d like a prompt, I’d love to see a story that takes place after Shadow has traveled the world a while, yet he finds his way back to Mr. Ibis and Jaquel’s funeral parlor and settles back into life there, finding himself a makeshift family and home amongst the Egyptian gods. Or exploring the ramifications of her taking his heart when he died (and why she wanted his heart, I have a lot of feelings about the symbolism of that), or how he felt about her knowing exactly what he wanted-peace.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This is the book of my heart. There are endless things about it that I love--the Americana vibes and how it grapples with what it means to be American in a country full of immigrants, the folklore and the mythology that comes from that, the road trip aspects, the interludes told from other perspectives that give this novel a patchwork feel, the gods themselves and the world-building behind them (god, I really love how they’re struggling and coping with the lack of belief, yet still existing--and I find the new goods like Media cropping up really fascinating).
If I am being perfectly honest, I would be happy with a gen piece expanding upon this universe and exploring it more in-depth, if that’s what strikes your fancy; I love almost all the characters, but I have a special fondness for Laura, Sam Black Crow, Zorya Polunochnaya, Easter, Mr. Ibis and Jaquel--so if you wanted to include any of these characters, I would be more than happy. I’m not particularly fond of this incarnation of Loki and Mr. Wednesday is not exactly my favorite, so I would prefer less of them rather than more. Other than that, though, have fun! Any of the prompts in the sign up or just something with Bast and/or Shadow would wonderful and great for me.

PROMPT: I adored this remake far more than I thought I would, and it was the strength of the relationship between Mia and David that really sold me. I'd love a rewrite of the ending, where David somehow lives and together, they have to rebuild their lives and deal with the trauma of what happened afterwards. Maybe a roadtrip-style fic where they travel for a while looking for a place to settle? Or, maybe, a backstory fic, about their sick mother and how David abandoned Mia and her both, something centering about those issues between them or Mia's drug addiction. I ship them a lot, so if you want to write angsty twisted codependent incest either post-film while they're recovering from the trauma, or pre-film as some kind of dark secret between them, I'd be all over it but it's totally not necessary if you're uncomfortable.
I added Eric because he was a character who stood out to me and I just wanted more. I would also love fic about David and Eric. I ship them, so I'm looking for some sad backstory break up fic here-I thought there was such bitterness to their dynamic in the film and Eric's anger with David felt really personal, so I'd love to read about what happened to make him so bitter, or what their relationship was like before it fell apart. Fill in the blanks, if you will, but if that's not your cup of tea, that's totally okay, I'd be pleased with a gen version of that, or fic about Eric's relationship to Mia and how he knows these two siblings. If you’re for it, I’d love an AU where Eric manages to survive the ordeal along with Mia and David and how they recover afterwards and put themselves back together-if you're really daring, I'd love a threesome there as part of that recovery, but only if you're comfortable.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: God, I am not sure what else there is left to say here. I think what really drew me into the story of this film was relationship between David and Mia--what can I say, I’m a sucker for sibling dynamics, especially dysfunctional ones, with a heavy history, that end up trying to do everything for each other. I found David’s arc particularly compelling from the standpoint that he left, and his entire drive through the movie is trying to prove that he’s never going to do that again, that he’s not going to let Mia down again--and it shows in his fraying nerves and desperation as the movie continues and he tries to help Mia (once by trying to drive her away when she asks, and a again when she’s possessed). I could talk endlessly about him dressing her nicely when he goes to bury her alive in order to bring her back and the emotional weight of that scene, but I’ll spare you. I think there was something particularly beautiful in him sacrificing himself in the end to give Mia a fighting chance, even if it didn’t work--just the fact his arc lead there seemed right.
And MIA, god, I love Mia. New favorite final girl. I love how in essence, David is the decoy protagonist and this is really Mia’s movie. Full disclosure: I love how Mia is not the perfect protagonist--she’s a drug addict who’s trying to kick the habit in perhaps not the most healthy, or reasonable way and she’s weak, she gives in and asks to be taken away; Mia is kind of a mess and I enjoy that about her character, especially within the context of the ending. As much I enjoyed David’s arc, Mia’s is just one step above that in my heart. I love that she’s considered worthy of being saved, but I love even more that Mia, the character who arguably began the movie at her weakest, was the one to survive the whole ordeal, finding the strength inside herself to face literal demons and live, fighting hard to the point of cutting off her own arm in order for a chance as survival. That last shot of her cover in mud and blood walking into the sunrise is gorgeous.
Eric was also a really stand out character. I tend to like genre savvy characters and I really enjoyed that even though Eric is the one who fucked things up with his curiosity, he consistently and tirelessly tried to help fix it and put everything back to rights. I also was drawn to the fact he was the one character who sort of propelled David into action and got under his skin. The two of them had a chemistry that felt as though there was some history there that wasn’t being explicitly told and I would really love to see that explored. I went into this movie expecting to have feelings for David and Mia, but I was sort of blindsided by my feelings for Eric. I did not expect to find such a compelling relationship between Eric and David, given he’s technically a minor character. I really admired how relentless he was, despite being the typical, skinny nerdy type--he took so much abuse and just kept going. I just really admire determined assholes who don’t give up and Eric wormed his way into my heart because of that.
As I said, I ship David and Mia a lot and I think the canon lends itself to an incestuous interpretation both pre-movie or in a post-movie AU, if you wanna go there. I think there’s a lot of complicated and dysfunctional emotions between these two, given the glimpses of history between the two of them within the context of canon and I would love that expanded on and explored. I would especially love most a post-movie AU where they both make it out and have to rebuild, clinging unhealthily to each other because they’re the only two people that understand what they went through. This can be in a roadtrip form as they try to figure out where to settle, and finding themselves adrift in the world or after they’ve settled somewhere, living in a strange, domestic sort of existence as they try to deal with what happened to them. Or backstory fic, god I would really adore a backstory fic that explains exactly what happened to them around the time David left. If incest is not something you’re not comfortable with, that’s perfectly fine! All of these prompts lend themselves to gen interpretations, I would just like the focus to remain on David and Mia’s relationship, but other than that, go with what you’re comfortable writing--or, if you want, I'd really love Eric and David backstory as well. Like I said in the original prompt, I'd love sad break up fic for them, and to see whatever happened between them that made Eric so bitter and pissed off at David. Or fic about how their relationship started, being friends and then turning into more, and how it ends--I’d especially love this because of David's habit of running away when things get too hard for him to deal with and how that affected his relationship with Eric. Give me backstory fic here, basically! Show me how they met and fell apart. Or show me how Eric knows Mia. Maybe he was the one there when her mom was dying and David left and he picked up the slack, and held her together the best he could? I would really love to know what their relationship was like pre-movie and what they meant to each other, especially since he was involved in her detox--that suggests some kind of close relationship. Or, really, have Eric survive the night as well (somehow--feel free to pull something out of your ass) and have him a part of David and Mia’s recovery, while dealing with his own. Like I offered, if you wanted to figure out how a threesome between the three of them would work, I would absolutely adore that.
CANON AVAILABILITY: I rented this film from Redbox for about a dollar and it’s still in stock, but I am reasonably sure this is a US-only thing. It’s a fairly new film, so it should be in any place where you could rent movies, like Netflix. I, uh, can’t think of any legal ways to stream it.

PROMPT: This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I would love an AU of the film where when Louis finds Lestat weak and helpless, he stays and helps him recover and how their relationship grows from there. Or an AU post the movie, where Lestat turns Daniel and they stalk Louis on-and-off for a decade or two while Daniel balks. If that doesn't work, I'd really love anything between Lestat/Louis from the movie-a missing scene, a first time, a slice of life moment, something explicit about Lestat being into Louis and Louis falling in love against his better judgment or conscience. I'd really prefer something shippy here, even if it's just a kiss. Basically, please make the subtext text. For this prompt, I'd prefer you stick to movie canon only-I like the books, but I'd rather keep it in a self-contained movie verse rather than anger Anne Rice.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Interview With The Vampire was a total formative influence for me and when I saw the film was nommed this year, I couldn’t resist the temptation to request fic. This is the film that gave me a lifelong love and appreciation for vampires, the film that I trace a lot of my ships back to, as well as my likes and dislikes, my kinks. I always feel content and happy when I watch it. I adore the aesthetics of this film, the fact that these vampires aren’t distinctly European and how this movie is mostly set in America and how Louis strongly identifies as American, the way this story is told through Louis’s perspective, the verbal interplay between the characters, how the movie plays between the line of human and monster. I love the found family aspects that get all twisted when they're vampires now, the strange and fucked up but ultimately fond and loving relationship between Lestat and Louis, the way Louis is quiet and soft spoken and also capable of vicious anger, Lestat and everything he does throughout the entire story and how he has such bravado and arrogance but clings to Louis and can't bare to lose him. I just love everything about this film.
Louis is my favorite--this said, that does not mean I don’t adore Lestat, I do, but Louis is who I connect with and imprinted on hard. I loved watching him develop over the movie, even if things just got worse for him, and I'd be interested in anything exploring his perspective on how weird and odd it is to go from losing his wife and son to then having a vampire family with Lestat and Claudia. Any slice of life story set during canon or especially during the sixty-five years they spent together with Claudia would be fantastic for me. If you wanted to write about his perspective on how his life changed, or get more in depth with his moral issues in contention with his feelings for Lestat (which, I think are always murky and confusing), I would not be displeased with that at all! Or, another option, could be Lestat and Louis before Claudia comes into their lives--a scene acknowledging Lestat's feelings for Louis and Louis dealing with his own feelings and/or attraction to Lestat. God, I would love more than anything a first time fic between them, or just something exploring more of their antagonistic yet fond dynamic from the start of the film, when Lestat was trying to teach Louis how to be a vampire. Or you could write something post-film centered on Lestat finding Louis again. I’d love the AU where Louis stays when he finds him and helps him back into life, and they pick up where they left off, older and maybe more wiser. Or, as I said in my prompt, if you wanted to give me the zany and ridiculous adventures of Daniel and Lestat as Lestat stalks Louis and Daniel is long-suffering, that would be all kinds of wonderful.
I know I only requested Louis and Lestat, but if you wanted to add Claudia, especially in a missing scene from the film or a slice of life moment, she would be more than welcome. I adore Claudia with all my heart and would be delighted if your fic also featured her. As I said in my prompt, I would really prefer if you stayed within the universe of the movie. I think it gives you a lot of leeway as a writer to go off where you want to and include aspects that the novels wouldn’t completely allow for (like, porn for instance--not that necessarily has to be a thing, but it’s an open option here I’d like). The only thing I would rather not receive is gen. I would like kisses or some explicit confirmation of their relationship as romantic, sorry! I am super fascinated with the Lestat and Louis relationship and dynamic, and given they were my Baby’s First Slash Ship, I'd simply love ANY type of fic that focuses or explores their relationship at various points throughout the movie or after the movie. You could do any of my prompts and I'd be endlessly happy!

PROMPT: I really love the warm, happy, and familiar dynamic these three have, especially early to middle of the season when they were helping Mike adjust to being undercover and both trying to convince Mike to confide in them. The "she can't adopt you, Mike, because we've already adopted you-you're ours" line made me want ANY kind of threesome fic between them, so I'd love to read fic where they seduce him at some point together, or more fic about them helping Mike be an undercover agent, or maybe some kind of h/c threesome after Mike is wounded. It doesn't have to be an explicitly porny threesome, just OT3 vibes and dynamics or kisses would make me happy. I'd also love to read about Johnny/Mike-either some kind of first time fic, or Johnny dealing with Mike being a spy in Graceland, and how they work that out or what changes for them. Or I'd take something exploring Paige's feelings towards Mike, especially given that they kissed-did they do anything more before he left for Washington? What are the feelings there between them? Or, maybe, something exploring the time period where she was helping Mike spy against the house would be interesting and great. I'd also be happy with Johnny/Paige, since their cute almost sibling-esque dynamic makes me happy and I'd love to see something exploring that-maybe a fic where Johnny takes her up on her slightly joking offer for sex or a friends with benefits thing between them, or even just them being adorable friends. Gen about any of these three and their friendships would work for me, too.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: THIS SHOW. I expected this to be just a fun summer show I watched because of Aaron Tveit’s face and other people’s pretty faces--I DID NOT EXPECT FEELINGS. I love EVERYONE on this show, I love Mike surprising everyone including himself with how well he took to the job; I love his strange blend of antagonism and affection with Briggs; I love Briggs and his charming wonderful ultimate magnificent bastard self; I love Charlie and how she’s so determined and stubborn and mothers the people in the house; I love Dale and how he clearly misses the family he already found and doesn’t care for this one that much; I love Paige and her utter loyalty and how she went to bat for Mike; I love Johnny and his precious face and how he just wants everyone to get along-Johnny broke my heart in the finale. I just, I loved every aspect of this show and I don’t even know how to say it all. I love the blend of friendships and domestic situations and found families mixed with lies and manipulation and high stakes. Everyone in this house feels so damn much and there’s a lot of love and a lot of hurt and, god, I did not expect to get so wrapped up in this show.
But for this prompt, I am asking for these three in particular, because I have a weakness for people who are unequivocally friends first and foremost. What I adored about Mike and Paige and Johnny is how Paige and Johnny both try to take Mike under their wing in some way, either showing him how to lie or how to blend in or how to be a good agent, even claiming him as “theirs” when other girls try to date him. All three of them seem to delight in each other’s company so much, and have fun just throwing around a ball or hanging out together. I ship them all really hard and I’d love anything OT3-esque with them-hurt/comfort fic with them taking care of a wounded or sick!Mike, Johnny and Paige teaming up and trying to seduce them, or three of them undercover together and ending up falling into bed somehow, or something exploring Johnny and Paige’s possessive feelings towards him because I am way into that.
If threesomes aren’t your bag (I totally understand, keeping track of that many limbs is hard), Mike/Paige, Mike/Johnny and Paige/Johnny are all ships I love. I really loved the kiss between Mike and Paige in the finale and her line there’s a version of that I want, but not this--I love anything exploring those feelings, how it felt for Paige to go behind her team’s back because she confided in Mike, or post finale fic with Mike being across the country now and if they keep up with each other, or some future!fic where they start an affair. I really love Johnny in any and every capacity and found his friendship with Mike so fucking delightful and joyful and fun and I’d love anything shippy for them-about Mike being protective or hurt/comfort of any
kind, or Mike explaining stuff to Johnny in the finale and dealing with the fall out of the finale, or Johnny dealing with Mike being a spy. If you want to explore the relationship between Paige and Johnny, feel free as well-there both so comfortable around each other and get along easily, I’d love to see the start of their friendship, or Johnny following through Paige’s sex offer that one time, or them making bets with each other, or working a cover together. But honestly I’d be happy with fic where Johnny makes Mike and Paige pancakes. Or a five times fic about Johnny being domestic. Johnny is A+.
To be honest, these three are A+ and I would happily accept gen for any of them. If you wanted to write me Paige or Johnny backstory fic, I would adore that so much as neither of them have gotten much revealed about themselves in terms of personal history and I would really love that explored. How did they end up in Graceland? What were their childhoods like? Their families? I’d love to know! Or Mike backstory. With all the talk of his grandfather, it’s my pet theory he was raised by him, so if you want to jump off of that, I would love that. Or a fic about young!Mike and his aspirations, or teen!Mike the Burger King Candy Cane display thief, or exploring what happened to his parents. Gen about ANY of their relationships with each other would be wonderful as well. Feel free to include other house members, as well!

PROMPT: I would really adore Charlie/Patrick fic-maybe future-fic where Charlie keeps in touch with Patrick and Sam throughout college, with letters and emails and visits, and slowly begins to develop feelings for Patrick? Perhaps later summers they spend together while Patrick is off school, or something from the other side, exploring Patrick's feelings towards Charlie, either during the scene where he kisses him or in the future-I'd love to see Charlie reciprocating some time down the line. I'd just love a slow developing of their friendship into something romantic. I really like Sam a lot though, and I don't want to erase her-for the purposes of this fic, I'd prefer the relationship between Sam and Charlie to be interpreted as one-sided or platonic. If that doesn't appeal to you, I'd love to read about Charlie's relationship with his family. I found his family very loving and supportive, and I'd like to read more about their bond he has with all of them, especially Candace. I love the deleted scene where he goes with her to get an abortion so I'd love to read fic about that event, or anything else where they're being mutually supportive of each other.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING. This movie made me so emotional and I do not think I could accurately convey everything I loved about it. I loved the little group of friends Charlie makes, not just Sam and Patrick, but Mary Elizabeth and the others as well. I loved Charlie’s intense protectiveness to his family and loved ones (both Candace and Patrick, for instance). I love how this film has a lot of saddening things-suicide and abusive parents and other abusive adult figures and abusive boyfriends-and yet manages to be an optimistic film that always makes me feel hopeful. I LOVED what a vivacious person Patrick is and how that’s sometimes a cover for his own issues and problems, but also genuine as well, and I love how he’s not afraid to be out, and I just admire Patrick a lot and aspire to be like him. I loved how he’s the first to warm up to Charlie and adopt him into their group, and how he grows so fond of him. I loved Charlie so much-I loved how realistic he felt to me, how he doesn’t know how to navigate people well and fucks it up badly sometimes but tries really hard. I connected really hard to his character and there’s a lot about Charlie I related to and I think this film will always have a special place in my heart because of it.
I came out of this film shipping Charlie/Patrick really, really hard, probably due to the power of acting and Ezra Miller. They were just so wonderful! Patrick is the one who calls him a wallflower to compliment him! Patrick buys him a suit! Charlie is so protective. They had such wonderful chemistry and I love how friendly they were and how close they got-I love the little trio of Sam, Charlie and Patrick, but the general vibe I got was that Patrick had taken it upon himself to cultivate this kid and watch him grow. I’d really love to see a type of slow burn fic, something exploring and dealing with Patrick’s feelings when he kissed Charlie and if the feelings stay and grow afterwards, or something more hurt/comfort based with them leaning on each other as a support system. I am really here for growing and developing feelings and Patrick realizing he’s really into Charlie in a more than just friendly way, or Charlie realizing his adoration of Patrick extends further than friendship. I’d kind of love to see Charlie realize he even likes dudes as well (not necessarily a coming out story-just realizing he’s not entirely straight) and see who makes the first move in the relationship. I don’t necessarily want something set during the film for Charlie/Patrick-I love the whole trajectory of the movie and think it stands well on its own, and I’d prefer something set after the film, after all is said and done, since the ending is very open-ended. I’d love to see awkward dating and awkward fumbling and awkward figuring out “oh we have feelings for each other,” and Charlie figuring himself out more after the film and Patrick getting a nice boyfriend for once.
I like Sam a lot, so I’d rather not just erase her or get rid of her. I am really interested in her relationship between her and Charlie and was very moved by it throughout the film, I’d just rather have her in a platonic capacity for this fic. Maybe her feelings towards Charlie are more platonic or she doesn’t reciprocate, maybe she’s not ready to be in a relationship yet, or maybe Charlie and Sam have decided not to pursue a relationship at this point. Or it’s set further down the line-Charlie’s senior year or in college, even, and he and Sam had an amicable break up.
I nominated and requested Candace because one of my absolute favorite things about the film was Charlie’s whole family. They were all so wonderfully supportive-I’m so used to seeing media about characters with depression issues and trauma like Charlie has and the family being so terrible or unsupportive. It was such a gorgeous breath of fresh air that his parents were concerned about him, that they got him help and therapy, that both Charlie’s brother and Candace looked after him and worried about him. I’d love fic exploring their relationship, maybe seeing them grow up together, maybe something with Candace being protective of Charlie, or Charlie helping her with her problems and issues-the deleted scene where he goes with her to get an abortion pulled at my heart so much-or maybe her POV on the events on the movie, what Charlie is going through from her eyes. I would prefer you focus on Candace & Charlie rather than straight up gen fic about Candace-I really love siblings and siblings stories a lot, basically (also these are siblings I don’t ship so nothing shippy here please; I feel the need to make this distinction because if you stalk me you’ll notice I ship a lot of siblings).

PROMPT: I love this show! I love all these characters! And I ship them all in various combinations! I'd love almost anything for here. As for prompts-I'd love to read a future-fic story with Fakir searching for ways to turn Ahiru back into a girl, and/or his life with duck!Ahiru-give me adorable domestic scenes of Fakir feeding his duck girlfriend and carrying her around and having duck!Ahiru sleep on the pillow besides him, basically, while trying to give her the ability to shift back into a girl-I’d really love it to be through his storytelling abilities. If that doesn't work for you, I'd also love Fakir/Mytho ship fic while Mytho was still heartless-I was really into how dark and creepy their dynamic was when Fakir ordered him around and refusing to let him do anything without his permission, so if you wanted to expand on that or take it further, with maybe Fakir feeling guilty and terrible about it, feel free. I also really like Fakir and Rue constantly fighting over Mytho in the series and I'd love to read backstory fic about them fighting over him even when they were young and small. If you set it during canon, I'd definitely be open to some kind of bickering threesome. I'd love anything with Rue-backstory, introspection, exploration of her motivations and feelings, anything really, but I have a soft spot for her friendship (and maybe more) with Ahiru, so anything about the two of them would be wonderful. If you could make a foursome work, you'd be my hero, but anything with these characters would be wonderful. The only thing I don't really want is Ahiru/Mytho as a stand-alone pairing-I enjoy the dynamic, but don’t ship it singularly.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: I just recently finished this series and god, is it not the most perfect thing? I’m not even sure what to say-other people have talked about this show more intelligently than I could. I love the storytelling aspect of this show, the meta elements to it. Storytelling is one of my favorite things in fiction and I love how the show is meta about the whole act of storytelling and breaking out of your predestined, previously written on roles by writing a new story. I love how it’s a fairy tale at heart, but these characters know it and taken on an active role and fight it, I love how it takes the concept of fighting fate and applies it on a storytelling level. I love how the show is about writing and the process of writing, and yet breaking free out of that as well. It’s basically hitting all my favorite storytelling tropes so much.
And god, all the characters. Ahiru is basically my hero-she’s so sweet and determined and kind and SAVES PEOPLE THROUGH DANCING and is so cute and clumsy and easily angered as Ahiru. She is a darling. What is not to love about her, honestly? I loved how Fakir’s abilities and knighthood is rooted in his storytelling abilities. I love how he’s so bitter and angry and paranoid as hell about Mytho, and how his desire to protect him manifests in awful ways (Locking him in a closet! To protect him from his feelings!). I was really into their dynamic early in the series, so I’d love to read more of it, with maybe more insight on Fakir’s POV, on him working hard to keep Mytho emotionless so he’s safe-or something kind of shippy in a twisted way; I got a big D/s vibe of their scenes, with Fakir ordering him around and Mytho saying he feels better with Rue or Fakir do that, if you want to write that, I’d be interested in it, as long as it’s not non-con (dub-con is okay, though; I think it’s a bit hard to avoid dub-con if Mytho is heartless).
Fakir/Ahiru is my OTP of the series and I love how Fakir/Ahiru is such an interesting deconstruction of the whole “pair the spares” thing in fiction. I love how he likes her as a duck-if you do write fic where she becomes human again, I’d love for her to have the ability to change into a duck at will-and I love the scene where he cuddles her as a duck, which is somehow simultaneously heartbreaking and hilarious at once. And Rue! I fell so hard for Rue, she broke my heart. I love Rue so much-Rue’s backstory made me so sad and I love that she got her happy ending at the end and broke free. I’d love to see something with Rue and Ahiru! I love them, in a gen way or shippy way. I love how Rue and Ahiru are set up as opposites and rivals and they both reject that implicitly within the narrative. The show could have just let them be rivals and opposites, like the original Swan Lake with Odette and Odile, but they consistently choose not to. I’d take anything with these two and I shipped them really hard in the beginning-Ahiru just wanted to be Rue’s friend! And that baffled Rue so much she didn’t even know what to do with her.
I was also really interested in Fakir and Rue’s dynamic, how they were always bickering and fighting over Mytho and who was best for him and the idea of them growing up alongside Mytho fighting over him as kids is hilarious and adorable to me. I’d like to see something from their childhoods with Mytho, with them constantly fighting or maybe finding some common ground. Or if you wanted to explore how the three of them are linked together when they’re older, that’d be wonderful-and if you wanted to go the threesome route when they’re older, please feel free. I imagine they must have a bickering, constantly at odds at dynamic, who can bond over Mytho but also fight over him a lot and what’s the best way to deal with him. I don’t really ship them without Mytho, though, so I would prefer if you wrote a fic for them, that you would keep Mytho an element of the dynamic. I also do ship Rue/Mytho a lot. I love how he loves her, most of all and she did not expect him to pick her, and fought so hard to keep him, even when she infected him with Raven’s Blood and he was cruel and awful to her. There is this awful push-pull between them in the latter-half of the series that was deeply dysfunctional, but I loved watching, despite how painful it was. If you wanted to write me a post-series fic about these two recovering from everything they’ve been through and learning to be happy and, maybe, I don’t know, having kids and running Mytho’s country, I would be more than pleased.
I just--I love all these characters, dear yulegoat, I love them with all my heart and this show is my happy place. You can write me fic about any one of the nominated characters in almost any situation in any combination and I would be so happy.

General Things I Like: I happily read all kinds of fic: gen, het, slash, femmeslash, poly. Almost all is okay with me, but I am a very emotionally oriented person. I love exploring a character’s thoughts and feelings, what it is that makes that character tick and make the choices they do. I’d rather have purely character thought-piece over a complex well-plotted fic with no emotional heart. I’m such a schmoop at heart and prefer happy endings, but a bittersweet ending won’t send me into fits. Just go where the story takes you, as long as it’s not utterly heart-wrenching and breaks me into a million pieces, we should be okay (though, even if it does break my heart, I trust it’d be because you struck a chord with me and I’ll love that regardless of the sadness).
I’m not against porn! I just don’t want it to be the whole story and prefer it to be emotionally anchored; not necessarily romantic, but something with a connection and a reason for it happening beyond two (or three! or four!) pretty faces. Some of my porn-y kinks include: angry!sex, fighting-that-leads-to-sex,powerplay, oral sex/cunnilingus, licking, fingering, dirty!talk, biting/marking/scratching, public sex, heat-of-the-battle sex, frantic sex, up-against-the-wall sex, jealousy and possessiveness, mild bloodplay, mild voyeurism, mild bondage. Relationship-wise, I adore friendships in all forms and I love exploring what it means to be friends and the bond between characters. I love emotional history and how that affects a relationship dynamic between characters. Friends-turned-lovers is a favorite trope of mine, as well as love/hate dynamics. I love snark and banter and flirting, but I also love new relationship awkwardness and bonding. For any relationship to happen, I want some connection at the base before it turns romantic or sexual. If you’re dealing with a poly-relationship, I’d love to see how the characters deal with that new dynamic and how they adjust into their new roles.
I really dig domesticity and what makes a home a home, and how being a family to each other plays into that and how the characters come together in that way. I adore makeshift families and kid!fic in any form. I love cooking and doing chores, and quiet breakfast scenes over coffee or tea. If you want to add pets, that would be wonderful! (I love all kinds of animals, but cats have a special place in my heart.)

PROMPT: Ever since I finished American Gods, I couldn’t stop thinking about Shadow and Bast’s relationship and how much they intrigue me and how I just want more of it. They kind of accidentally became my OTP and I have been searching for fic about them for ages, but to no avail. I’d absolutely adore anything for them from simply just the two of them interacting again to something romantic happening to just gen about them separately. If you’d like a prompt, I’d love to see a story that takes place after Shadow has traveled the world a while, yet he finds his way back to Mr. Ibis and Jaquel’s funeral parlor and settles back into life there, finding himself a makeshift family and home amongst the Egyptian gods. Or exploring the ramifications of her taking his heart when he died (and why she wanted his heart, I have a lot of feelings about the symbolism of that), or how he felt about her knowing exactly what he wanted-peace.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This is the book of my heart. There are endless things about it that I love--the Americana vibes and how it grapples with what it means to be American in a country full of immigrants, the folklore and the mythology that comes from that, the road trip aspects, the interludes told from other perspectives that give this novel a patchwork feel, the gods themselves and the world-building behind them (god, I really love how they’re struggling and coping with the lack of belief, yet still existing--and I find the new goods like Media cropping up really fascinating).
If I am being perfectly honest, I would be happy with a gen piece expanding upon this universe and exploring it more in-depth, if that’s what strikes your fancy; I love almost all the characters, but I have a special fondness for Laura, Sam Black Crow, Zorya Polunochnaya, Easter, Mr. Ibis and Jaquel--so if you wanted to include any of these characters, I would be more than happy. I’m not particularly fond of this incarnation of Loki and Mr. Wednesday is not exactly my favorite, so I would prefer less of them rather than more. Other than that, though, have fun! Any of the prompts in the sign up or just something with Bast and/or Shadow would wonderful and great for me.

PROMPT: I adored this remake far more than I thought I would, and it was the strength of the relationship between Mia and David that really sold me. I'd love a rewrite of the ending, where David somehow lives and together, they have to rebuild their lives and deal with the trauma of what happened afterwards. Maybe a roadtrip-style fic where they travel for a while looking for a place to settle? Or, maybe, a backstory fic, about their sick mother and how David abandoned Mia and her both, something centering about those issues between them or Mia's drug addiction. I ship them a lot, so if you want to write angsty twisted codependent incest either post-film while they're recovering from the trauma, or pre-film as some kind of dark secret between them, I'd be all over it but it's totally not necessary if you're uncomfortable.
I added Eric because he was a character who stood out to me and I just wanted more. I would also love fic about David and Eric. I ship them, so I'm looking for some sad backstory break up fic here-I thought there was such bitterness to their dynamic in the film and Eric's anger with David felt really personal, so I'd love to read about what happened to make him so bitter, or what their relationship was like before it fell apart. Fill in the blanks, if you will, but if that's not your cup of tea, that's totally okay, I'd be pleased with a gen version of that, or fic about Eric's relationship to Mia and how he knows these two siblings. If you’re for it, I’d love an AU where Eric manages to survive the ordeal along with Mia and David and how they recover afterwards and put themselves back together-if you're really daring, I'd love a threesome there as part of that recovery, but only if you're comfortable.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: God, I am not sure what else there is left to say here. I think what really drew me into the story of this film was relationship between David and Mia--what can I say, I’m a sucker for sibling dynamics, especially dysfunctional ones, with a heavy history, that end up trying to do everything for each other. I found David’s arc particularly compelling from the standpoint that he left, and his entire drive through the movie is trying to prove that he’s never going to do that again, that he’s not going to let Mia down again--and it shows in his fraying nerves and desperation as the movie continues and he tries to help Mia (once by trying to drive her away when she asks, and a again when she’s possessed). I could talk endlessly about him dressing her nicely when he goes to bury her alive in order to bring her back and the emotional weight of that scene, but I’ll spare you. I think there was something particularly beautiful in him sacrificing himself in the end to give Mia a fighting chance, even if it didn’t work--just the fact his arc lead there seemed right.
And MIA, god, I love Mia. New favorite final girl. I love how in essence, David is the decoy protagonist and this is really Mia’s movie. Full disclosure: I love how Mia is not the perfect protagonist--she’s a drug addict who’s trying to kick the habit in perhaps not the most healthy, or reasonable way and she’s weak, she gives in and asks to be taken away; Mia is kind of a mess and I enjoy that about her character, especially within the context of the ending. As much I enjoyed David’s arc, Mia’s is just one step above that in my heart. I love that she’s considered worthy of being saved, but I love even more that Mia, the character who arguably began the movie at her weakest, was the one to survive the whole ordeal, finding the strength inside herself to face literal demons and live, fighting hard to the point of cutting off her own arm in order for a chance as survival. That last shot of her cover in mud and blood walking into the sunrise is gorgeous.
Eric was also a really stand out character. I tend to like genre savvy characters and I really enjoyed that even though Eric is the one who fucked things up with his curiosity, he consistently and tirelessly tried to help fix it and put everything back to rights. I also was drawn to the fact he was the one character who sort of propelled David into action and got under his skin. The two of them had a chemistry that felt as though there was some history there that wasn’t being explicitly told and I would really love to see that explored. I went into this movie expecting to have feelings for David and Mia, but I was sort of blindsided by my feelings for Eric. I did not expect to find such a compelling relationship between Eric and David, given he’s technically a minor character. I really admired how relentless he was, despite being the typical, skinny nerdy type--he took so much abuse and just kept going. I just really admire determined assholes who don’t give up and Eric wormed his way into my heart because of that.
As I said, I ship David and Mia a lot and I think the canon lends itself to an incestuous interpretation both pre-movie or in a post-movie AU, if you wanna go there. I think there’s a lot of complicated and dysfunctional emotions between these two, given the glimpses of history between the two of them within the context of canon and I would love that expanded on and explored. I would especially love most a post-movie AU where they both make it out and have to rebuild, clinging unhealthily to each other because they’re the only two people that understand what they went through. This can be in a roadtrip form as they try to figure out where to settle, and finding themselves adrift in the world or after they’ve settled somewhere, living in a strange, domestic sort of existence as they try to deal with what happened to them. Or backstory fic, god I would really adore a backstory fic that explains exactly what happened to them around the time David left. If incest is not something you’re not comfortable with, that’s perfectly fine! All of these prompts lend themselves to gen interpretations, I would just like the focus to remain on David and Mia’s relationship, but other than that, go with what you’re comfortable writing--or, if you want, I'd really love Eric and David backstory as well. Like I said in the original prompt, I'd love sad break up fic for them, and to see whatever happened between them that made Eric so bitter and pissed off at David. Or fic about how their relationship started, being friends and then turning into more, and how it ends--I’d especially love this because of David's habit of running away when things get too hard for him to deal with and how that affected his relationship with Eric. Give me backstory fic here, basically! Show me how they met and fell apart. Or show me how Eric knows Mia. Maybe he was the one there when her mom was dying and David left and he picked up the slack, and held her together the best he could? I would really love to know what their relationship was like pre-movie and what they meant to each other, especially since he was involved in her detox--that suggests some kind of close relationship. Or, really, have Eric survive the night as well (somehow--feel free to pull something out of your ass) and have him a part of David and Mia’s recovery, while dealing with his own. Like I offered, if you wanted to figure out how a threesome between the three of them would work, I would absolutely adore that.
CANON AVAILABILITY: I rented this film from Redbox for about a dollar and it’s still in stock, but I am reasonably sure this is a US-only thing. It’s a fairly new film, so it should be in any place where you could rent movies, like Netflix. I, uh, can’t think of any legal ways to stream it.

PROMPT: This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I would love an AU of the film where when Louis finds Lestat weak and helpless, he stays and helps him recover and how their relationship grows from there. Or an AU post the movie, where Lestat turns Daniel and they stalk Louis on-and-off for a decade or two while Daniel balks. If that doesn't work, I'd really love anything between Lestat/Louis from the movie-a missing scene, a first time, a slice of life moment, something explicit about Lestat being into Louis and Louis falling in love against his better judgment or conscience. I'd really prefer something shippy here, even if it's just a kiss. Basically, please make the subtext text. For this prompt, I'd prefer you stick to movie canon only-I like the books, but I'd rather keep it in a self-contained movie verse rather than anger Anne Rice.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Interview With The Vampire was a total formative influence for me and when I saw the film was nommed this year, I couldn’t resist the temptation to request fic. This is the film that gave me a lifelong love and appreciation for vampires, the film that I trace a lot of my ships back to, as well as my likes and dislikes, my kinks. I always feel content and happy when I watch it. I adore the aesthetics of this film, the fact that these vampires aren’t distinctly European and how this movie is mostly set in America and how Louis strongly identifies as American, the way this story is told through Louis’s perspective, the verbal interplay between the characters, how the movie plays between the line of human and monster. I love the found family aspects that get all twisted when they're vampires now, the strange and fucked up but ultimately fond and loving relationship between Lestat and Louis, the way Louis is quiet and soft spoken and also capable of vicious anger, Lestat and everything he does throughout the entire story and how he has such bravado and arrogance but clings to Louis and can't bare to lose him. I just love everything about this film.
Louis is my favorite--this said, that does not mean I don’t adore Lestat, I do, but Louis is who I connect with and imprinted on hard. I loved watching him develop over the movie, even if things just got worse for him, and I'd be interested in anything exploring his perspective on how weird and odd it is to go from losing his wife and son to then having a vampire family with Lestat and Claudia. Any slice of life story set during canon or especially during the sixty-five years they spent together with Claudia would be fantastic for me. If you wanted to write about his perspective on how his life changed, or get more in depth with his moral issues in contention with his feelings for Lestat (which, I think are always murky and confusing), I would not be displeased with that at all! Or, another option, could be Lestat and Louis before Claudia comes into their lives--a scene acknowledging Lestat's feelings for Louis and Louis dealing with his own feelings and/or attraction to Lestat. God, I would love more than anything a first time fic between them, or just something exploring more of their antagonistic yet fond dynamic from the start of the film, when Lestat was trying to teach Louis how to be a vampire. Or you could write something post-film centered on Lestat finding Louis again. I’d love the AU where Louis stays when he finds him and helps him back into life, and they pick up where they left off, older and maybe more wiser. Or, as I said in my prompt, if you wanted to give me the zany and ridiculous adventures of Daniel and Lestat as Lestat stalks Louis and Daniel is long-suffering, that would be all kinds of wonderful.
I know I only requested Louis and Lestat, but if you wanted to add Claudia, especially in a missing scene from the film or a slice of life moment, she would be more than welcome. I adore Claudia with all my heart and would be delighted if your fic also featured her. As I said in my prompt, I would really prefer if you stayed within the universe of the movie. I think it gives you a lot of leeway as a writer to go off where you want to and include aspects that the novels wouldn’t completely allow for (like, porn for instance--not that necessarily has to be a thing, but it’s an open option here I’d like). The only thing I would rather not receive is gen. I would like kisses or some explicit confirmation of their relationship as romantic, sorry! I am super fascinated with the Lestat and Louis relationship and dynamic, and given they were my Baby’s First Slash Ship, I'd simply love ANY type of fic that focuses or explores their relationship at various points throughout the movie or after the movie. You could do any of my prompts and I'd be endlessly happy!

PROMPT: I really love the warm, happy, and familiar dynamic these three have, especially early to middle of the season when they were helping Mike adjust to being undercover and both trying to convince Mike to confide in them. The "she can't adopt you, Mike, because we've already adopted you-you're ours" line made me want ANY kind of threesome fic between them, so I'd love to read fic where they seduce him at some point together, or more fic about them helping Mike be an undercover agent, or maybe some kind of h/c threesome after Mike is wounded. It doesn't have to be an explicitly porny threesome, just OT3 vibes and dynamics or kisses would make me happy. I'd also love to read about Johnny/Mike-either some kind of first time fic, or Johnny dealing with Mike being a spy in Graceland, and how they work that out or what changes for them. Or I'd take something exploring Paige's feelings towards Mike, especially given that they kissed-did they do anything more before he left for Washington? What are the feelings there between them? Or, maybe, something exploring the time period where she was helping Mike spy against the house would be interesting and great. I'd also be happy with Johnny/Paige, since their cute almost sibling-esque dynamic makes me happy and I'd love to see something exploring that-maybe a fic where Johnny takes her up on her slightly joking offer for sex or a friends with benefits thing between them, or even just them being adorable friends. Gen about any of these three and their friendships would work for me, too.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: THIS SHOW. I expected this to be just a fun summer show I watched because of Aaron Tveit’s face and other people’s pretty faces--I DID NOT EXPECT FEELINGS. I love EVERYONE on this show, I love Mike surprising everyone including himself with how well he took to the job; I love his strange blend of antagonism and affection with Briggs; I love Briggs and his charming wonderful ultimate magnificent bastard self; I love Charlie and how she’s so determined and stubborn and mothers the people in the house; I love Dale and how he clearly misses the family he already found and doesn’t care for this one that much; I love Paige and her utter loyalty and how she went to bat for Mike; I love Johnny and his precious face and how he just wants everyone to get along-Johnny broke my heart in the finale. I just, I loved every aspect of this show and I don’t even know how to say it all. I love the blend of friendships and domestic situations and found families mixed with lies and manipulation and high stakes. Everyone in this house feels so damn much and there’s a lot of love and a lot of hurt and, god, I did not expect to get so wrapped up in this show.
But for this prompt, I am asking for these three in particular, because I have a weakness for people who are unequivocally friends first and foremost. What I adored about Mike and Paige and Johnny is how Paige and Johnny both try to take Mike under their wing in some way, either showing him how to lie or how to blend in or how to be a good agent, even claiming him as “theirs” when other girls try to date him. All three of them seem to delight in each other’s company so much, and have fun just throwing around a ball or hanging out together. I ship them all really hard and I’d love anything OT3-esque with them-hurt/comfort fic with them taking care of a wounded or sick!Mike, Johnny and Paige teaming up and trying to seduce them, or three of them undercover together and ending up falling into bed somehow, or something exploring Johnny and Paige’s possessive feelings towards him because I am way into that.
If threesomes aren’t your bag (I totally understand, keeping track of that many limbs is hard), Mike/Paige, Mike/Johnny and Paige/Johnny are all ships I love. I really loved the kiss between Mike and Paige in the finale and her line there’s a version of that I want, but not this--I love anything exploring those feelings, how it felt for Paige to go behind her team’s back because she confided in Mike, or post finale fic with Mike being across the country now and if they keep up with each other, or some future!fic where they start an affair. I really love Johnny in any and every capacity and found his friendship with Mike so fucking delightful and joyful and fun and I’d love anything shippy for them-about Mike being protective or hurt/comfort of any
kind, or Mike explaining stuff to Johnny in the finale and dealing with the fall out of the finale, or Johnny dealing with Mike being a spy. If you want to explore the relationship between Paige and Johnny, feel free as well-there both so comfortable around each other and get along easily, I’d love to see the start of their friendship, or Johnny following through Paige’s sex offer that one time, or them making bets with each other, or working a cover together. But honestly I’d be happy with fic where Johnny makes Mike and Paige pancakes. Or a five times fic about Johnny being domestic. Johnny is A+.
To be honest, these three are A+ and I would happily accept gen for any of them. If you wanted to write me Paige or Johnny backstory fic, I would adore that so much as neither of them have gotten much revealed about themselves in terms of personal history and I would really love that explored. How did they end up in Graceland? What were their childhoods like? Their families? I’d love to know! Or Mike backstory. With all the talk of his grandfather, it’s my pet theory he was raised by him, so if you want to jump off of that, I would love that. Or a fic about young!Mike and his aspirations, or teen!Mike the Burger King Candy Cane display thief, or exploring what happened to his parents. Gen about ANY of their relationships with each other would be wonderful as well. Feel free to include other house members, as well!

PROMPT: I would really adore Charlie/Patrick fic-maybe future-fic where Charlie keeps in touch with Patrick and Sam throughout college, with letters and emails and visits, and slowly begins to develop feelings for Patrick? Perhaps later summers they spend together while Patrick is off school, or something from the other side, exploring Patrick's feelings towards Charlie, either during the scene where he kisses him or in the future-I'd love to see Charlie reciprocating some time down the line. I'd just love a slow developing of their friendship into something romantic. I really like Sam a lot though, and I don't want to erase her-for the purposes of this fic, I'd prefer the relationship between Sam and Charlie to be interpreted as one-sided or platonic. If that doesn't appeal to you, I'd love to read about Charlie's relationship with his family. I found his family very loving and supportive, and I'd like to read more about their bond he has with all of them, especially Candace. I love the deleted scene where he goes with her to get an abortion so I'd love to read fic about that event, or anything else where they're being mutually supportive of each other.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING. This movie made me so emotional and I do not think I could accurately convey everything I loved about it. I loved the little group of friends Charlie makes, not just Sam and Patrick, but Mary Elizabeth and the others as well. I loved Charlie’s intense protectiveness to his family and loved ones (both Candace and Patrick, for instance). I love how this film has a lot of saddening things-suicide and abusive parents and other abusive adult figures and abusive boyfriends-and yet manages to be an optimistic film that always makes me feel hopeful. I LOVED what a vivacious person Patrick is and how that’s sometimes a cover for his own issues and problems, but also genuine as well, and I love how he’s not afraid to be out, and I just admire Patrick a lot and aspire to be like him. I loved how he’s the first to warm up to Charlie and adopt him into their group, and how he grows so fond of him. I loved Charlie so much-I loved how realistic he felt to me, how he doesn’t know how to navigate people well and fucks it up badly sometimes but tries really hard. I connected really hard to his character and there’s a lot about Charlie I related to and I think this film will always have a special place in my heart because of it.
I came out of this film shipping Charlie/Patrick really, really hard, probably due to the power of acting and Ezra Miller. They were just so wonderful! Patrick is the one who calls him a wallflower to compliment him! Patrick buys him a suit! Charlie is so protective. They had such wonderful chemistry and I love how friendly they were and how close they got-I love the little trio of Sam, Charlie and Patrick, but the general vibe I got was that Patrick had taken it upon himself to cultivate this kid and watch him grow. I’d really love to see a type of slow burn fic, something exploring and dealing with Patrick’s feelings when he kissed Charlie and if the feelings stay and grow afterwards, or something more hurt/comfort based with them leaning on each other as a support system. I am really here for growing and developing feelings and Patrick realizing he’s really into Charlie in a more than just friendly way, or Charlie realizing his adoration of Patrick extends further than friendship. I’d kind of love to see Charlie realize he even likes dudes as well (not necessarily a coming out story-just realizing he’s not entirely straight) and see who makes the first move in the relationship. I don’t necessarily want something set during the film for Charlie/Patrick-I love the whole trajectory of the movie and think it stands well on its own, and I’d prefer something set after the film, after all is said and done, since the ending is very open-ended. I’d love to see awkward dating and awkward fumbling and awkward figuring out “oh we have feelings for each other,” and Charlie figuring himself out more after the film and Patrick getting a nice boyfriend for once.
I like Sam a lot, so I’d rather not just erase her or get rid of her. I am really interested in her relationship between her and Charlie and was very moved by it throughout the film, I’d just rather have her in a platonic capacity for this fic. Maybe her feelings towards Charlie are more platonic or she doesn’t reciprocate, maybe she’s not ready to be in a relationship yet, or maybe Charlie and Sam have decided not to pursue a relationship at this point. Or it’s set further down the line-Charlie’s senior year or in college, even, and he and Sam had an amicable break up.
I nominated and requested Candace because one of my absolute favorite things about the film was Charlie’s whole family. They were all so wonderfully supportive-I’m so used to seeing media about characters with depression issues and trauma like Charlie has and the family being so terrible or unsupportive. It was such a gorgeous breath of fresh air that his parents were concerned about him, that they got him help and therapy, that both Charlie’s brother and Candace looked after him and worried about him. I’d love fic exploring their relationship, maybe seeing them grow up together, maybe something with Candace being protective of Charlie, or Charlie helping her with her problems and issues-the deleted scene where he goes with her to get an abortion pulled at my heart so much-or maybe her POV on the events on the movie, what Charlie is going through from her eyes. I would prefer you focus on Candace & Charlie rather than straight up gen fic about Candace-I really love siblings and siblings stories a lot, basically (also these are siblings I don’t ship so nothing shippy here please; I feel the need to make this distinction because if you stalk me you’ll notice I ship a lot of siblings).
I put abuse in my do not wants so I’d rather not get anything hyper focusing on that-I’d be okay with some references to it, given it does shape his character significantly, but nothing with the sole focus on his trauma or abusive aunt, please, or a heavy focus on Candace’s abusive boyfriend. I am not familiar with the book-it’s on my to-read list, but my to-read list is rather large so I haven’t gotten to it. I don’t know how similar or how not similar the book is to the film but I’d prefer you stick with film canon. If there are events in the book that flesh out the Charlie/Patrick relationship or Charlie and Candace relationship, feel free to work those in but otherwise I’d rather receive something that fits into movie canon.

PROMPT: I love this show! I love all these characters! And I ship them all in various combinations! I'd love almost anything for here. As for prompts-I'd love to read a future-fic story with Fakir searching for ways to turn Ahiru back into a girl, and/or his life with duck!Ahiru-give me adorable domestic scenes of Fakir feeding his duck girlfriend and carrying her around and having duck!Ahiru sleep on the pillow besides him, basically, while trying to give her the ability to shift back into a girl-I’d really love it to be through his storytelling abilities. If that doesn't work for you, I'd also love Fakir/Mytho ship fic while Mytho was still heartless-I was really into how dark and creepy their dynamic was when Fakir ordered him around and refusing to let him do anything without his permission, so if you wanted to expand on that or take it further, with maybe Fakir feeling guilty and terrible about it, feel free. I also really like Fakir and Rue constantly fighting over Mytho in the series and I'd love to read backstory fic about them fighting over him even when they were young and small. If you set it during canon, I'd definitely be open to some kind of bickering threesome. I'd love anything with Rue-backstory, introspection, exploration of her motivations and feelings, anything really, but I have a soft spot for her friendship (and maybe more) with Ahiru, so anything about the two of them would be wonderful. If you could make a foursome work, you'd be my hero, but anything with these characters would be wonderful. The only thing I don't really want is Ahiru/Mytho as a stand-alone pairing-I enjoy the dynamic, but don’t ship it singularly.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: I just recently finished this series and god, is it not the most perfect thing? I’m not even sure what to say-other people have talked about this show more intelligently than I could. I love the storytelling aspect of this show, the meta elements to it. Storytelling is one of my favorite things in fiction and I love how the show is meta about the whole act of storytelling and breaking out of your predestined, previously written on roles by writing a new story. I love how it’s a fairy tale at heart, but these characters know it and taken on an active role and fight it, I love how it takes the concept of fighting fate and applies it on a storytelling level. I love how the show is about writing and the process of writing, and yet breaking free out of that as well. It’s basically hitting all my favorite storytelling tropes so much.
And god, all the characters. Ahiru is basically my hero-she’s so sweet and determined and kind and SAVES PEOPLE THROUGH DANCING and is so cute and clumsy and easily angered as Ahiru. She is a darling. What is not to love about her, honestly? I loved how Fakir’s abilities and knighthood is rooted in his storytelling abilities. I love how he’s so bitter and angry and paranoid as hell about Mytho, and how his desire to protect him manifests in awful ways (Locking him in a closet! To protect him from his feelings!). I was really into their dynamic early in the series, so I’d love to read more of it, with maybe more insight on Fakir’s POV, on him working hard to keep Mytho emotionless so he’s safe-or something kind of shippy in a twisted way; I got a big D/s vibe of their scenes, with Fakir ordering him around and Mytho saying he feels better with Rue or Fakir do that, if you want to write that, I’d be interested in it, as long as it’s not non-con (dub-con is okay, though; I think it’s a bit hard to avoid dub-con if Mytho is heartless).
Fakir/Ahiru is my OTP of the series and I love how Fakir/Ahiru is such an interesting deconstruction of the whole “pair the spares” thing in fiction. I love how he likes her as a duck-if you do write fic where she becomes human again, I’d love for her to have the ability to change into a duck at will-and I love the scene where he cuddles her as a duck, which is somehow simultaneously heartbreaking and hilarious at once. And Rue! I fell so hard for Rue, she broke my heart. I love Rue so much-Rue’s backstory made me so sad and I love that she got her happy ending at the end and broke free. I’d love to see something with Rue and Ahiru! I love them, in a gen way or shippy way. I love how Rue and Ahiru are set up as opposites and rivals and they both reject that implicitly within the narrative. The show could have just let them be rivals and opposites, like the original Swan Lake with Odette and Odile, but they consistently choose not to. I’d take anything with these two and I shipped them really hard in the beginning-Ahiru just wanted to be Rue’s friend! And that baffled Rue so much she didn’t even know what to do with her.
I was also really interested in Fakir and Rue’s dynamic, how they were always bickering and fighting over Mytho and who was best for him and the idea of them growing up alongside Mytho fighting over him as kids is hilarious and adorable to me. I’d like to see something from their childhoods with Mytho, with them constantly fighting or maybe finding some common ground. Or if you wanted to explore how the three of them are linked together when they’re older, that’d be wonderful-and if you wanted to go the threesome route when they’re older, please feel free. I imagine they must have a bickering, constantly at odds at dynamic, who can bond over Mytho but also fight over him a lot and what’s the best way to deal with him. I don’t really ship them without Mytho, though, so I would prefer if you wrote a fic for them, that you would keep Mytho an element of the dynamic. I also do ship Rue/Mytho a lot. I love how he loves her, most of all and she did not expect him to pick her, and fought so hard to keep him, even when she infected him with Raven’s Blood and he was cruel and awful to her. There is this awful push-pull between them in the latter-half of the series that was deeply dysfunctional, but I loved watching, despite how painful it was. If you wanted to write me a post-series fic about these two recovering from everything they’ve been through and learning to be happy and, maybe, I don’t know, having kids and running Mytho’s country, I would be more than pleased.
I just--I love all these characters, dear yulegoat, I love them with all my heart and this show is my happy place. You can write me fic about any one of the nominated characters in almost any situation in any combination and I would be so happy.
