Shore Leave 33 - Update + House
So in a last minute run around to get ready and drive up there Zap and I made it to Shore Leave 33 July 8-10, 2011! I am surprised as the rest of you.
Christopher Judge - funny as always, very kind and talkative he's also very mobile on stage. He has a "huge" project in the works that can not be announced until the studio releases it. But he feels it will give him another avenue from SG1 and he was very excited about that.
Tricia Helfer - I really wish I liked the BSG reboot. One day I might give it a try from the start. She was kind and very interesting on how she played multiple Six's. She also said at 31 they told her she looked old because of HD camera's. This is a sick business!
Eddie McClintock - how SWEET can an actor be (and humble) he spelled my name wrong as was so upset (he fixed it). His Q & A was all about the fans and giving back. He made general pop culture references that Zap knew very well. Oh you just wanted to give him a big hug all the time.
John de Lancie - made LOTS of underwear jokes. Did not talk about anything specific at all. It was actually a touch disappointing for me. Comparing to all the other Star Trek actors I've seen he was more goof then substance. (could just be me)
Emilie Ullerup - so SPECIAL! she is so kind and real. I hope she gets a lot more work soon. She is new to conventions so I think she will be back. She ran out of pictures and needed to get office depot to print more she was really surprised.
Cliff Simon - He is funny and really talented in the way he talks and acts. It was fun to meet him. He was great with the fans for sure.
Sally Kellerman - Did get to the full Q & A but Zap got his personal picture (the one fan made her sing with him)
Gary Lockwood - I did not get anything with him or from him (bad me). But his stuff conflicted with EVERYTHING else.
We also had contractors come out and check out the house and I'm waiting on quotes there. I also got 2 yearly doctor's appointments completed and out of the way (yeah!) and we brought back to Miami stuff from the Md. house we figured we needed since being here (and in the attempt to further clean out the house).
So I just spent a mad week and a few days running around from a hotel (with the dog) to the house back to the hotel to somewhere to pick up food to back to the hotel.
