This was written for a friend for Christmas. I hope she likes it.
Demyx sighed as he walked through Christmas Town. He loved the little lights that the elves used to decorate the outsides of their houses. The little blinking bulbs gave him some sense of the Christmas spirit, which Axel had said they couldn’t feel. Demyx snorted. So the little feeling of joy I get every time I see the lights is nothing? Yeah right Axel.
Demyx stopped at the man-made ice rink in the middle of the town’s square. He leaned on the rail and watched the couples skate together with linked hands. He sighed wistfully. If only he could convince Axel to come out in the cold and ice skate with him. Demyx absolutely loved the feeling of skating around. It was a sensation of freedom that he didn’t have back at the Organization headquarters.
But Axel wouldn’t be caught outside idiot. Demyx thought to himself. He hates the cold and would never come outside. This was of course true. Axel hated the cold. He never went anywhere that below 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Demyx decided to stop feeling sorry for himself. He could one of two things, continue to feel sorry for himself, or he could go down there and skate and at least enjoy something for a little bit.
Just as he was about to move, he felt something grab his hand. He turned and stared in shock at his boyfriend. Axel had actually shown up and he looked ridiculous. Demyx held the snicker in. He knew that if he laughed now, Axel would leave. Instead, Demyx gave Axel the biggest grin he could muster.
“You’re lucky that I like you…a lot.” Axel growled out from behind his scarf. The fire wielding member of the Organization was covered head to toe in nothing but thick clothes. Even his wild spiky hair was tamed under the parka’s hat.
“I’m glad too. C’mon, let’s go skating.” Demyx pulled Axel towards the rink. This is definitely the best Christmas ever. The Melodious Nocturne thought to himself.
