Atonement
So...all this time I had been avoiding watching the movie Atonement. I absolutely love period movies, but I didn't have the energy to put myself through what was likely to be a heart wrenching love story. Especially when I heard that it was primarily about what a young girl who misinterprets a series of events, which ultimately have horrible consequences. Yeah. Heart wrenching.
Then I read an article about the green dress worn by Keira Knightley in the film, and how the dress was voted the best film costume of all time, exceeding Audrey Hepburn's little black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's, Marilyn Monroe's white dress in The Seven Year Itch, and Vivien Leigh's red dress in Gone With The Wind.
So...my curiosity gets the better of me and I watched the movie tonight. The movie? Heart wrenching. The dress? One of the most fabulous ARTicles of clothing I've ever seen...and once again I'm left wishing I had small boobs so I could pull something like that off (or rather, put something like that on!).
