This weekend went by in a blur:
Work at my lovely little bar on Friday night, up early for yoga, brunch with my housemate, ran some errands, dinner with my former GP coworker and off to Baltimore for E-schock.
And boy, that was an interesting night. There was a furry party going on upstairs in the gay club and they came down to our dance floor and then all of a sudden there was a bunch of dudes(??) in wolf, cat, dragon, and other various costumes bopping along to an industrial track. It was a bit surreal, I've got to admit. There has never been a furry party the same night as our night so it was just... odd, haha. I joked that I brought them back from Japan, but really, there were far more costumed folk last night than I ever saw at any random night at clubs in Japan. So. Yeah. It's a thing, I guess.
I also danced my little heart out even though I was tired from running around the night before and the yoga class that morning. But my happy moment came when everyone was being shooed away from the venue in the wee hours of the morning and I was introduced to someone who said, "Oh, it's the dancing queen." So lots of dancing happened. I spent a lot of the evening with my eyes burning from sweat.
And now I am halfway awake and sore and disinclined to do anything on this Cinco de Mayo Sunday. Thus far I've been looking at ways to spend money on silly things: namely New Rock boots (I think I need another pair), and the fashion being offered on the Closet Child website from Japan. Man, I miss second-hand gothy shops with Japanese brands! My love of Ozzon and Qutiefrash needs more of it in my wardrobe.
Oh man, I keep knuckling my eyes. Maybe a nap is in order, after all.
