It snowed today in Osaka, which is apparently a somewhat rare occurrence. Kyoto is one thing, but Osaka apparently is something else completely.
Also, due to said snow, I totally had a southern California moment: I was walking out of my apartment to go take the train to work and there's this.... stuff.... falling on me. I'm thinking to myself, 'man, why is it hailing?!' I get to work and mention the hail and then get a couple of blank looks from the staff and other teachers there. They then mention, "you mean snow, right?" Me: blank look. "Snow? Oh, is that what it is?!" I then spend the next five minutes avidly staring at the "snow" stuff that looked like little feathers or cotton swabs being blown around. This has got to be my first time actually living where it snows.
Haha. Man, I'm such a SoCal girl.
But here's a view from outside my apartment balcony:
Also, a random note - I've been listening to Dead Can Dance a lot lately. I really, really want to go to another concert of theirs because they are so bloody awesome live!!
And one more random thing for my
wishlist:
