"Once upon a time, I, Chuang-tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, flittering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly...suddenly I awoke... Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man."
- Chuang-tzu Chinese philosopher.
Strange dreams abound but are fleeting the longer I am awake.
I remember there being a boy. And me. And my other two sisters, identical we all were. But one of them died in a body of water. And the other one became me - or did I become her? I can't quite recall.
I remember being at another VOLKS Dolpa in the US, this time as a customer. No one I knew was in sight - employees, customers, no one. The day just sort of passed in an isolated blur - and not a single doll in sight. Somehow Missy appeared at the end of the day, harried as usual, and I asked if she was going to dinner with everyone afterwards but she said no, however she already had plans so I was left to my own devices. I recall wondering where in the world was Bailey?!
Somewhere there were girls in fancy autumn kimonos with long draping obi, like butterflies, in shiny bright colors. And then the obi really were butterflies. I watched them flutter away in to the green trees.
And then I awoke.
