Woot!

I have been so busy the past couple days, but its been a good busy.  I started work at the Society for Neuroscience and I love it.  The people I work with are friendly and fun, and I like the work.  The really good news is that I spoke to my temp agency representative, and my supervisors really like me and have decided to keep me on indefinitely.  She told me that barring any unforeseen circumstances,  they plan on offering me the permanent position in 3 months.  That's when my contract with the temp agency is up.  She also said that SfN has bought out contracts  in the past, so I could have the permanent job even before that.  I'm really happy and excited.  My job is to help plan a huge conference of 30,000+ neuroscientists that happens every October.  This year it's in...SAN DIEGO! How awesome is that?  So as long as all continues to go well, I'll be going home to Cali in October and I'll get paid for it! hehe.

Even though I technically don't need to know anything about neuroscience, I asked my co-worker, Randall, for a good book to gain some basic background knowledge (she was a neuroscience major) and she gave me a book of brain facts published by SfN for that very purpose.  Its reminding me a lot of AP Psych, and I'm actually surprised how much I remember.  I'm such a nerd, but I'm really enjoying learning something because I want to, without the pressure of grades and tests.

Tech week for Pillowman also started on the same day that I started at SfN.  Hence the busy.  Luckily, the theatre is only about 7 blocks or so away from the office.  The show is turning out to be really cool and I've already learned a lot more about the light board. Its such a good feeling to be involved with a show again.  It does mean that I'm working from 9am-10pm a minimum of 4 days a week for the next 3 months, but even working so many hours, I find that I'm less exhausted than I was going to law school last semester.  I'm happier too.

That's about it for now.  Tomorrow is a loooong tech day, so today I have chores and taxes to do. Along with quite a bit of chilling.

Much love y'all.
