Jacob went for his one month checkup today. I can't believe he's already a month old. He weighs 11 lbs. 3.5 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long! They gave him a shot, and he was mighty pissed off. His face was so red. I was about to cry with him, but he was a trooper. He got a Charlie Brown band aid. We came home and took a needed 4 hour nap. I was so worn out and so was he.

We spent all day yesterday by the pool. Jacob loves it outside, and he loves riding in his stroller. They have a canopy with some ceiling fans by the pool, so it doesn't get too hot for him out there. Then there's a little pool house where I go feed him whenever he gets hungry. When he falls asleep, I jump in the pool.

Our friend Choya and his girlfriend came swimming with us. Then, there are the regulars who are always out by the pool that we've become friends with. So, we had a nice little time. The weather was beautiful, and I'm trying to catch a tan for a our trip to L.A.

I'm going down the bayou tomorrow. It will be Jacob's first trip down there. I'm hoping Jake will still come with us, but I'm not sure yet.

I, uh, had a lot of things I wanted to mention, but my mind has gone totally blank. They say that's what happens when you have children.

Well, I'm off to pump my breasts. Which reminds me, on The View they were talking about how women breastfeeding in public makes people uncomfortable. Then, they had some people that went and protest saying it shouldn't make people uncomfortable. They all whipped out their breasts on the street and started feeding their babies. Funny. They called themselves Lactavists. Now that I breastfeed, I really don't care who sees me. I mean it's not like you can actually see anything. But I do have respect for the people around me. I understand it does make them uncomfortable. I'm just waiting for the day that I walk out somewhere with my breast still hanging out. That would be me.

Oh yeah. Jacob loves taking baths now! He also likes peeing on himself and my bed right after. :)
