I made butternut squash/persimmon soup with macadamia nut garnish tonight...
it was my first attempt at raw food.
tim took me to target and bought me a black and decker food processor as an early christmas gift and after a lot of time and a huge mess in the kitchen, it came out pretty decent... maybe not exactly as smooth as it should have been (the woman who made it originally used a blender)... but it was still yummy and light and full of color. I wanted to go out and give out free samples on the street I was so proud.

Tim liked it too and we both agreed that it tasted like something you'd eat at breakfast maybe.. cold and sweet like orange juice with pulp but with the consistency of an oatmeal (though it should have been smoother)... the macadamia nut garnish was delish.. kinda like a peanut butter but not. I wish all of you reading this could have tried it... haha. ok, i'm lame. I'm so excited over soup.
