Gary and I will be taking a 12 day cruise to the Mediterranean for our honeymoon... It's a bit more time/money than we planned to spend, but we basically figured that we probably will NOT have a chance to take a trip like this again (at least before our (non-existant as of now) kids are grown. (The only downside to it is that we will have to come back to IL (we're getting married in NY) and work for a week before the honeymoon - because we won't have quite that much vacation time saved up)
So the room on our cruise is not the room we wanted (We wanted, and booked a balcony cabin - but the only ones available were near the back of the ship - I wanted something a bit closer to the middle of the ship), so I've been looking at Carnival's webpage now and then to see if any staterooms opened up closer to the middle. So I looked yesterday, and surprise, surprise - the stateroom WE booked a MONTH ago is showing up as available! I panic a bit, and finally get in touch with my travel agent this morning. I explained the situation, and she said she'd call the line and get back to me.
So she got back to me... Apparently we had been booked into an interior (not even a window!) cabin! Thank goodness I looked (and the cabin we had booked happened to pop up on the "available" list)! So she corrected that, AND EVEN BETTER - apparently there was some deal that we qualified for, and now we are getting our balcony cabin for the "inside stateroom" price - which will save us $1000!!!
