I Miss Spaceships!
I tried watching SGU the other night because god damn I miss space ships and strange planets and hostile aliens and dare I say Stargates.
Alas once again it failed to engage me. Young walked around the whole time looking like someone had stolen his lunch box, Chloe kept swapping consciousnesses I'm guessing in an attempt to have a few different actors on the show who aren't the main cast, when I watched before the Doc was having a crisis in which she doubted her abilities to cope as their only medical provider which she still seemed to be doing, they didn't move off the ship at all, there wasn't a frikkin Stargate in sight and by the end of it I just wished someone would turn a fucking light on. I've come to the conclusion the creators or writers, whoever is responsible, just started to take themselves too seriously and lost sight of the essence of what made the original shows so unique and watchable.
*Sigh* Back to the SG-1, SGA boxsets and Farscape boxsets.
