I can't remember the last time I saw the sun. It's been constantly grey, rainy, snowy and cold since November. Or at least that's how it feels.
At the moment it's blowing a freezing cold gale and has been since yesterday afternoon. Luckily so far we've not got any downed fences or lost any roof tiles.
Was in a lot of pain last night, consequently feel worse than usual today.
Had to go to a meeting at work earlier in the week. They basically wanted to know when I would be well enough to return, even though their doctor has told them not to expect me back for 6 to 12 months. I'd really like to know when I'll start making significant improvement too but there are no answers and no quick solutions.
When I can barely function through a basic daily routine I can't even imagine how and when I'll be able to weave a work day into that as well.
Come May I'll have no choice in the matter, whether I can manage it or not I'll have to go back as my sick pay will run out. I'll do my best until then to get better and just hope it works out.
Watched La Vien en Rose, what a wretched tragic life Piaf lead but she kept going. Not a big fan of non-linear stories but I think it worked and reflected her chaotic mind and life. I've had Non Je Ne Regrette Rien, in my head ever since and it's driving me nuts.
Love the video for 30 Seconds to Mars' Hurricane. It's good to know there are still bands out there making filmic music videos and not just videos with a bunch of dancers jiggling around in the background.
If you're easily offended by sex, violence, taboos and hot half naked men don't watch it.
