...Ah. I just realized. Why am I in a hospital?

[ OOC: Yes, he missed Christmas. He was awake for it, but pretty catatonic. He's finally responsive now, though. ...A little. ]

[ He blinks and sits back when he sees her. ]

...I feel just fine.

You were having violent coughing fits in your comatose state.

[ Approaches, checking the best she can his semblance. It's harder to medicate a dead patient. ]

Before this... when I came for you in your apartment you were dead.

...Ah... Well, bringing me to the hospital was a nice thought, but there really was no need to. It's not going to do anything for me.

Are you my doctor? Why did you come for me?

That woman, Cirucci, was announcing to the world you were murdered and telling the girls to have your body. I took measures before that happened. I guessed you wanted to protect Franca from this when asked her protection.

A man called Envy gave me your address and Alphonse helped me to carry your body here.

Yes, ah, I'm your doctor.

Envy did? I don't understand why he would...

Mm, I see. Well...thank you so much for your help. I appreciate you shielding it from Franca.

You are welcome. I'm very sorry you had to spend Christmas here, in the Hospital.

I don't mind so much for myself, but this must have upset Franca. Is it all right for me to return home with her now?

She's to stay a couple more of days here. And I advice you to remain until we can control your coughing fits.

Is she really that unstable? It's been so many days... Poor Franca.

I'd really rather get out of here. I need to get back to work, and you aren't going to be able to help the fits.

She is stable, but a couple of days for observation should give us relief.

Not another one. Why is that? If we caught the illness before it develops, it'll be easier to fight off.

...I suppose you aren't going to give up until I give you a reason, right?

[ With a sigh, Alfons whispers. ]

It was what I traded for Cirucci's heart. My health. This is a disease I had when I was living, and since the deities gave it to me, I don't really think treatment is going to help.

I trust you not to let Franca know, please.

[ She shakes her head and takes a seat next to Alfons. He did give a heart to the one who murdered him? How terrible to repay him that way. ]

I won't speak a word to the girl, but isn't a way to strike another deal. To be sick until you die again and repeat the process is a horrible fate.

Perhaps. Countless would call me stupid... Mm. They already have.

[ With a short laugh, he waves his hand. ]

Nevertheless, it's done. I knew what I was doing when I made the trade. So as you can see, there's nothing you can do. I'm sorry to have wasted your time and resources.

I will call you a loving person, Alfons. Love when is true and unconditional makes us do sacrifices.

[ She shakes her head and smiles sadly. ]

Nothing...Unless I strike a deal myself.

[ With a smile, he shakes his head. ]

I would request that you don't. That's why I would prefer it if nobody else finds out.

This was my responsibility, and my call. You understand?
