THE DEATH OF BRIDGET VON HAMMERSMARK
I just finished watching my DVD copy of "INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS" for the second time. As much as I love this movie, I have this . . . quibble. Why on earth did Landa strangle Miss von Hammersmark to death?
I mean . . . think about it. Most people would point out that Landa had discovered that the German actress was a spy for the Allies and a traitor to Germany. Okay, but . . . why strangle her like that? Why didn't Landa simply arrest Miss von Hammersmark and have her detained before she could be sent to Germany to stand trial for treason?
