Last episode: SD-6 was infiltrated by Cole who was working for "The Man"

Summary
In the SD-6 breifing, Sloane tells us that FTL no longer exists as we see a young man execute the head of FTL. As at the same time SD-6 was hit, FTL was also attacked. Both were to acquire a Rambaldi artifact. "The Man"'s organization has contacted K-Directorate & asked for a meeting. So, Sloane is sending Dixon to Vegas to impersonate a diplomat.

After the briefing, Sloane asks Sydney to stay behind to once again express his gratitude. Once the conference room doors open, Sydney exits to find everyone in the office standing there applauding her.

We find out that Sydney is actually recapping the FTL demise for Vaughn in a subway car. They discuss the upcoming mission to Vegas. Sydney asks if Haladki reported him for entering SD-6.

Jack informs Sydney to be ready to leave by the end of the day. Jack also asks about school. Sydney tells him that perhaps she's still in school because she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps, but now since she's found out that's a lie, she's questioning if she should still become a teacher. Jack doesn't know how to respond.

Will borrows a tape recorder from Sydney. Sydney notices a hickey on his neck & tease him about it. Francie & Charlie enter and Francie asks where Syd is off to now--Vegas. Francie states that she wants to go to Vegas too. Sydney tries to talk her out of it saying that she'll be working the entire time.

Will goes to a prison to meet with David McNeil to find out more about SD-6. McNeil sends Will to OT Technologies to retrieve a list of people who have been using his program.

Sydney goes to school to drop out. Professor Choy tells her that unfortunately her paper was the one that he graded last. He also tells her that she's one of the best students he's ever had & he'd like her to think a little more about dropping the class, so he leaves without signing her drop slip. She looks at her paper--A.

While on campus, Sydney is putting up flyers for Charlie. Stella happens to see one of Charlie's flyers and says that she was dating Charlie for a few months. Sydney asks when this occured. Stella stated a few months ago.

In Vegas, Sydney is on the phone with Will telling him that Charlie is cheating on Francie. Sydney asks Dixon why she didn't see it before. Dixon reminds her that he doesn't need to lecture her about keeping secrets. Sydney & Dixon split up to enter the casino.

Sydney enters thru the employee enterance wearing a waitress uniform under her coat. Sydney enters the casino and spots Francie & Charlie. She enters a hallway & breaks into a server room. Using Marshall's razor prism, she slices thru a cable to gain access to the security system. Sydney uploads Dixon's picture.

Dixon enters the casino & the database recognizes him as a diplomat and he is escorted to a private gaming room.

Meanwhile, Francie leaves Sydney a message telling her that they are in Vegas. Francie talks Charlie into getting married at the wedding chapel. Sydney spots them on the security feed.

He joins the table where the K-Directorate agent is sitting. Sydney can see the agent's cards & relays them to Dixon. Dixon bluffs into winning the hand. The other players leave, but the K-Directorate agent remains. Sydney asks to go radio silent.

Sydney rushes to the chapel. Francie asks Syd to be their witness. Sydney pulls Charlie aside and confronts him about Stella. She tells him that if he doesn't tell Francie, she will and returns to work. Charlie tells Francie that they should get married with all of their family & friends around.

Dixon gets the K-Directorate agent to bet his ring. Sydney returns and sees that the agent has a flush. She tells Dixon to make the switch. Dixon makes the switch right before the floor manager enters with security. Apparently, the diplomat is stuck in Jamaica. Sydney enters to help Dixon escape.

Francie tells Syd that they won $2000 in Vegas. Francie asks what Syd told Charlie about not getting married in Vegas as Francie believes that she would have regreting making that impulse decision. Sydney tells Francie that Charlie is cheating on her. Francie accuses Sydney of not liking Charlie. She also tells Syd that she doesn't know her since she took that bank job and doesn't want to.

Sydney goes to talk to Will about Francie. Will returns to work when Syd receives a call. Jack asks Syd to meet him somewhere.

Sydney meets Jack at a carousel. Jack tells her how she used to love the carousel as him & her mother would bring her there. As she rode, they would talk--sometimes about his work with the CIA. Jack tells her that her mother may have influenced her career choice, but going back to school was her choice. He also tells her that if she sticks with it, she could become the type of teacher that her students remember.

Sloane announces that the K-Directorate meeting is in Moscow in 20 hrs.

Sydney meets Vaughn at the observatory. Vaughn gives her a flashcard to use in the SD-6 camera. Vaughn expresses that he'd like to be closer to Sydney.

Sydney relaxes with some wine. Francie enters and told her that Charlie told her everything.

In Moscow, Sydney crosses a wire suspended between two buildings. She lowers herself to a window to spy on the meeting. Sark is meeting with the head of K-Directorate. "The Man" will wire $100 million for a Rambaldi manuscript & all decoding done to date on it. Sark states that the offer expires in 60 seconds. The K-Directorate head laughs at him, so he has him killed. Sark turns to the 2nd in command, who quickly agrees to the deal. Sydney's foot knocks a piece of concrete off the building. It narrowly misses the guard below. She is left dangling from the wire as she is being shot at...

QUOTES
Vaughn: (noticing Sydney rubbing her jaw) Are you okay?
Sydney: It's nothing. Just a little bruised.
Vaughn: You can't really tell.
Sydney: That's because I'm wearing about a pound of cover up.

[Discussing Charlie cheating on Francie]
Will: I don't understand. Who the hell lives a double life like that? Seriously?
Sydney: There are people.

[Discussing Will's hickey]
Will: It's very embarrassing.
Sydney: What, the fact that I saw it or just that it's there at all?
Will: Look at it. I feel like I'm 15 years old.
Sydney: That's about the age of your intern.

Sydney: She's out of your league.
Will: What is this 'league'? Show me this league. I'll...I'lll buy the tickets. I'll go to the meetings. I'll find these people.

Vaughn: No, but, what you said about wanting to go to a hockey game... wanting me to be part of your life... I think I wasn't clear about something. That it would be nice to be in public with you, to actually get to look at you. Grab a pizza or go to a hockey game. I just... I wasn't clear that I would really like that, too. -to Sydney

Sydney: You and I are friends, Charlie, so you know I have nothing against you going into this, but I swear to God, if you marry Francie without telling her what you've been up to, I will kill you.

Francie: I'm so sick of your stupid bank job! God! Ever since you started working there you've been elitist and private and distant!

Marshall: Stupid question, but since FTL was an enemy since, like, forever; shouldn't we be drinking champagne or something?

Sydney: I just wanted to rip his finger right off again. Does that make me a bad person?

Sydney: Where have you been?
Francie: Three movies.

Vaughn: No, but um, what you said about wanting to go to a hockey game... wanting me to be part of your life. I, uhh, I think I wasn't clear about something... That it would be nice to be in public with you, to actually get to look at you. Grab a pizza or go to a hockey game. I just... I wasn't clear that I would really like that, too. - (to Syd)

Marshall: Oh. Yeah that does suck.

Sloane: Every person here owes you their life.

Sydney: I felt sick. All those people standing there - patriots...not knowing that SD-6 would trade their life for profit in a heartbeat.

Sydney: Did the Clinton administration teach you nothing?.

Will: Yeah you gotta get her sauced because this is gonna hurt.

Marshall: But the thing nobody else has but you is me - and I have this.

Dixon: Americans. They’re really gullible.

Casino Manager: Your attaché called. Apparently, you're stuck in Jamaica.

Sydney: I don’t know how to say this without it being horrible.

Francie: I don’t even know who you are anymore. But I don’t want to.

Sloane: I don’t want to have to keep referring to him as ‘The Man’.

Francie: Charlie told me everything - I think.

Sydney: I just wanted to rip his finger right off again. Does that make me a bad person?
Vaughn [chuckles] No. But it might have blown your cover.
Sydney: You think?

Vaughn: (to Sydney) No, but, um, what you said about wanting to go to a hockey game...wanting me to be part of your life... I, uh, I think I wasn't clear about something. (pause) That it would be nice to be in public with you, to actually get to look at you. Grab a pizza or go to a hockey game. I-I just... I wasn't clear that I would really like that, too.

(Sydney is sliding across a wire on the top of the two buildings)
Dixon: How's it hanging, Syd?
Sydney: Very funny.

Sydney: Did the guy from your office end up reporting you?
Vaughn: Haladki? Yeah, he did. But Devlin only slapped me on the wrist. Even though going into SD-6 without clearance wasn't exactly constitutional.

Sydney: Last week, I was ready to leave SD-6 but maybe I was focused on the wrong place. I think maybe I only went to grad school because Mom did. She was a teacher, so I always thought that was something I wanted to do. But now that I know it was just her cover, and that it didn't mean anything to her, I'm thinking I should just drop it.

Sydney: Don't start defending your thing with Jenny. She's not in your league and you know it.
Will: Who's in my league? What league? Show me a league and I'll buy a ticket, I'll go to the meetings and I will try and find those people. Where are they?

Francie: What's in the bag and where are you off to this time?
Sydney: Vegas.
Francie: Vegas! What was I just saying? Where should we go?
Charlie: After that brunch, Vegas isn't far enough.
Francie: I'm serious. Baby, that's our cue. We could just go tonight.
Sydney: W-w-wait. This is not a vacation for me. There's this public relations conference and--
Francie: Sydney, we don't need you to babysit.
Sydney: What I mean is I'd want to hang out with you guys. Just wait a week. We'll all go together.

Francie: Was coming to Vegas the greatest idea or what? Hey, check it out. There's a wedding chapel.
Charlie: Aw, come on.
Francie: Why not? I mean, just think about it. Just us. No parents. No hassle.

Sydney: You and I are friends, Charlie, so you know I have nothing against you going into this, but I swear to God, if you marry Francie without telling her what you've been up to, I will kill you.
Charlie: Sydney--
Sydney: No discussion. You don't tell her, and I will. Got it?

Jack: When you asked me the other day about school, I couldn't help you. I... I'm out of practice when it comes to, uh... personal matters.
Sydney: Dad, I'm in no rush.
Jack: Believing your mother was a professor may have influenced you somewhat but the decision to go back to school was yours. And I'd trust that. I think that, uh, if you stick with it... you could become the kind of teacher your students will always remember.
Sydney: Thank you.

Vaughn: Yeah. Last week, when you talked about quitting SD-6--
Sydney: I was being naive.
Vaughn: No, but, um, what you said about wanting to go to a hockey game... wanting me to be part of your life... I, uh, I think I wasn't clear about something. (pause) That it would be nice to be in public with you, to actually get to look at you. Grab a pizza or go to a hockey game. I-I just... I wasn't clear that I would really like that, too.
