TV Thoughts: MI-5, Lost, Medium, Desparate Housewives

A&E held an MI-5 marathon on Saturday in preparation for the Season 3 premiere that evening. I watched a few of the episodes (which I believe were shown out of order, at least the first two)but felt no need to sit and watch everything (the way I do if I turn on Farscape). I was also struck with the realization that MI-5 is only on its 13th? episode. Just over half a season for a US show. While I do enjoy the show, it's episodic with attempts at character arcs. Those arcs aren't helped by LONG lags between. And yes, they are the STUPIDEST SPIES EVER. (Can anyone tell me what was cut from the A&E version?)

Lost has engaged me, at least for now. I like the characters and care for some of them. I'm curious about the story. I only seen about half the episodes (randomly) and am grateful to (previously known as) Whitelight for pointing me in a direction for more information on the show.

Medium -- I will watch this again. I was stunned at how quickly the hour passed as I've not seen that in any show since Farscape. I love the husband -- he's sweet and considerate and loves her. We usually get competitive and selfish in shows where the attention is on the female.

Desparate Housewives -- this is a guilty pleasure. I'm embarrassed to admit that I watch. Definitely not appointment television (so far nothing is), but it's like candy at the end of the weekend.
