I've made the golden belt front since last time. I would have made the backside too, had I had enough golden stash - but alas! Still, the result turned out much better than I had ever dared hope. I've tried numerous different ways to make the golden collar and belt part, but none has really worked. Golden ribbons, appliqués, gems, metallic fabrics.... But finally I got the idea of using this broad appliqué like ribbon I bought ages ago. I though about decorating some cuffs with it, but I never got that far. Luckilly. Only problem is that I've now run out of it, and I only have half the amount of what's needed for the backside of the belt. Guess I'll need to improvise in a way.
Next task will be to make the actual belt - a cotton base and an upper layer of black, solid poly/silk/something fabric. On top I'll add a cool, broad golden ribbon which look like... I dunno. Woven squares? Hard to explain. Reminds very much of what's seen here:
