FINISHED ELISSA (ALMOST)

You guessed it, the new Elissa skirt is as good as finished. I made a giant underskirt of doom for it, which gives it a nice bell shape. The underskirt is sewn to the actual skirt, with a gap in the back, and the gap is hidden by an elaborate waterfall drape. This skirt is a statement! And no, I can take no credit for the actual design. It was made by Maria Bjørnson in 1986, and is what is used in all "Phantom of the Opera" productions in the world (exception being two eastern European productions). The specific version I've made is a replica of the ones used in the USA. The tab design and triangles on the apron, as well as the many tassels, is a trademark of that particular version.

Speaking of tassels, I have yet to fix + attach all the tassels on the hem, plus a couple on the apron. I also need to decorate the tabs some more, plus tuck stuff down.

I forgot to take measurements next time I had picture updates. But I forgot about it! Will remember it next time.
