Boring
I am officially a bore. Every time someone asks me how life is going, I say "Great! Really busy, though". Ugh. What does it say that you have busied yourself into boredom?
Today was my bridal shower. It was quite nice, although I was very nervous about being "showered" with gifts. All the gifts are lovely and even though we had registered for most of them, it didn't lessen the excitement. I do love presents! It will be great to have new things to fill our new house with!
The girls threw together a really classy affair with non-annoying and non-embarrassing games and A-AMAZ-ING food. Too bad I'm in crazy focus mode about diet and working out. Damn dress! :) I took a bunch and put it in the freezer with gift bows around it to prevent earlier opening. If Matt gets in there before Jan 1st, I'll know!!
Wedding planning is moving along slowly. Still hoping for a major number of declined invitations. I love my big family, but am REALLY hoping a good chunk of people will a) decline politely, or b) choose not to use their +1. As of now we are 29 accepts to 8 declines. That kind of ratio will not allow us to fit into the hall! I need a minimum of 39 declines to fit. 31 to go! Not sure what will happen if we don't shrink the way we need. Maybe we'll need an overflow room!
Work is stressful this year. New principal means a lot of adjusting and it's not always easy. I'm trying to keep my wits about me and survive. My co-teacher at SMS is crazy as ever, although I don't see her as much this year as last.
I really should do some dusting before bed. But bed sounds really good right now!
