Again, I have been neglecting this journal. I really have had nothing happen to me in the last month, well nothing that was actually worth writing about. I have gone back to working at MM and CG. Although, I have hardly been working at CG, since the store is finally staffed enough that they don't really need me. Yay, a discount without having to work! I am keeping busy with MM though, working all kinds of crazy hours.
We had our little staff meeting for MM last week. It consisted of bowling, dinner and a movie! That is my kind of staff meeting. I am the worst bowler in the world though. Usually only knocking down one or two pins if I am lucky. I was the Queen of the gutter ball. Although I did manage to throw some lucky balls and get a couple of strikes. After bowling we went to Tony Roma's for dinner and it was fabulous, especially since MM picked up the tab! Then we went off to see "Invincible". That was not a movie that I would have gone to see myself. It was OK, but not one that I would really recommend. After that movie, 5 of us stuck around to go and see "Jackass #2".
We had an hour wait between the 2 films, so we played some of the video games. A co-worker and I squared off on the Dance Revolution one; you know the game where you have to follow alone with the little dancer on the screen. I was doing really well, getting into it. Of course I didn't realise that one of my co workers filmed me dancing with his cell phone. That reminds me; I must get a hold of that and destroy it!!
Ok I know that Jackass is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I have to say that I laughed so hard through it. There was only 3 parts that really grossed me out. Not one that I would see again though, I think it mainly had to do with my mood and the people that I was with. I didn't end up getting home until after 1am and I had to work at 7. Let’s just say that coffee was my best friend for the day!
Last Saturday was a day from hell for me at work. I ended up taking an extra shift at MM. It was insanely busy and of course all of the computers were down. We did not have any connection with the internet, so all we could do was cash cheques and do Pay Day Loans. That really pissed off all of our customers when they head that and they all decided to yell at me. Like it was my fault that the internet was down, like I planned it all along just to piss them off!
That was when I made a terrible mistake. I cashed this guy’s $40 cheque for $400. I know that it was my fault, but the guy didn't say anything to, me about the mistake. He just took the money and walked right out the door. I realises what I had done when I cashed out at 3PM. I tried my best to call him at home and work, but of curse he is avoiding me. Why wouldn't he say anything? He KNOWS that that is NOT his money! Thank goodness they love me there and my job is not on the line. I had to file an incident report and I was reprimanded of course. But the next time he cashed a cheque at any MM, we will have our money back. So hopefully he comes in soon, because I hate having this on my shoulders. Now I am being extra extra careful in typing in those bloody numbers!
I really thought that I had nothing to say, I guess that I was wrong. And guess what there is more coming too :)
Just recently I have been watching "Dancing with the Stars". Tonight I witnessed one of the most horrible. They were dancing the Pasa Double (spelling), which is a Spanish Bull Fighters Dance, the chose to dance to "The Phantom of the Opera". I was totally disgusted! The music was wrong and the singing was horrible. Come on people what were you thinking! Phantom is NOT Latin! Ok, enough for one night. Time for me to hit the shower. I have a collections shift tomorrow (groan).
