There's a double meaning in that

Been having a super-special-awesome few days to start off the holidays, which is lovely, and makes a nice change from feeling depressed. I had my two lovely besties over on Saturday night - we watched The History Boys (and concluded that Scripps' voice is in fact that sexiest thing ever), and Sherlock, and The Mighty Boosh. And there was lots of chocolate eaten. And then last night the whole family went out to theatre to see Much Ado About Nothing. Now, an oppurtunity for theatre always makes me all sorts of happy, but when we got there I found out that an actor I'd seen in a previous production (a very odd production of Measure for Measure) and fangirled over was in this too, as Benedick, and, well. Squees were had. And the play was just as awesome as expected and much lols were had and I LOVE SHAKESPEARE. I feel this needs to be said. Not so much his tragedies, though if done well I can enjoy them, but all his comedies are HILARIOUS GOLD. And Beatrice and Benedick, oh my god I fangirl over snarky unresolved sexual tension so freaking much. And the actor I like was fabulous and adorable as Benedick. (Claudio and Don Pedro are kind of jerks though - 'Oh, we've killed an innocent girl. Lolol Bendeick's in love.' What the hell, guys.) And, to top it all off, my dad seemed to enjoy it and didn't lose his temper about anything for once.

One low point of the evening: I saw a poster that there's going to be a performance by a symphony orchestra of songs from the Final Fantasy series interspersed with clips from the most recent games and promptly lost my shit until my mother reminded me that we're going away the only weekend that it's on. :(

I was also supposed to go bowling with friends today, but. IDK. I didn't really feel like it, which I know is bad since I wrote up that post about getting out more. But on the other hand, I'm trying to stay happy right now, and what makes me happy is staying at home reading DRRR!! fanfic, so whatever. An old friend is coming over tomorrow, anyway, so I will be able to SOCIALISE. HOORAY.

fangirling, theatre is love, life is totally awesome for once, holidays are freaking awesome
