welcome home ...
It's odd watching your parents age. Especially when your parents are older. Don't get me wrong, Mom isn't at death's door or anything, but I see changes in her even from the few months I've been gone. I said this the other day, but I'm glad I'm living at home. I want to be here for her. I just need more autonomy here and well, even though I'm already neck deep in my work for Democracy Now, I'm also redoing the floor where I'm living. I don't mind living with my mom, but I need my own space.
Meanwhile, even though I technically don't start with DN until Monday, I'm already neck deep in research. I'm going to love working with Amy and her crew. I didn't realize just how much they hero worship my (bio)dad but, that's okay. Jake's done good things as an activist. And my personal feelings about him just can't get in the way. Much.
