off to DC we go
The show I'm doing is based in DC but we shoot in LA. Like, you know, how it usually works. But that means we have to go do exteriors a couple of times a season. Next week is that shoot. I'm very cautious about bringing Elena, but the idea of leaving her for 5 days, even in Rowan's capable hands and with Luke here ... Yeah, I'm pretty much a wreck.
Carlos has been giving me pointers on how to be away from her ... which all boil down to, "It sucks. Just accept the misery." Here I am complaining about 5 days when he's gone so much longer.
She'll be fine. Grace was teasing me earlier, telling me that the first two days, I'll sleep like the dead because I won't be worried about anything. She's probably right. I do look forward though, to when she's just a bit older, and can appreciate a trip like this. Right now, she won't even register that I'm gone.
And that one is gonna fester.
