I've spent the past six months dancing my soul out. Being in Anything Goes has been a dream come true. But alas, the tour has come to an end and I am heading home. No, not to New York or Salt Lake. I'm going home to mom and dad. Well. As of late last night, I am home. Curled up in my childhood bedroom. It feels so good to just be here.
My knees are a disaster and I'm going to spend some time with the parental units while my knees are checked out. I'm going to hang out and get looked at. I'm going to make fry bread with dad and just enjoy being with my parents. It's so easy to forget how wonderful it is to be with them. I left home so young to go to school and I've been working almost the whole time. I've been on the road or bouncing around and it's nice, honestly, to walk down the stairs in the morning and smell english muffins in the toaster and coffee perking in the pot.
I love my parent's kitchen. I love being home.
