I broke the news to Esther today about the choice she had to make: being a part of Torchwood and leaving her family behind or going back to her family and forgetting everything she knows about us. I thought she'd choose to go back. She's witnessed so much and she saw how horribly Vera died. I've told her about Tosh and Owen and Ianto, why would she want to take the chance that she'd end up like them?
Maybe she's banking on this whole immortal thing that we can't even prove. And really, with that being a possibility, could I really let her go back to her old life?
Still, I'm amazed at how strong she is. Such a feisty, fierce woman in such a sweet, innocent package. I've never met anyone like her.
