I am running into the reality that if I want to talk about Dr. Sara Sanders as a Senator, I've been using her daughter to tell her story. And people already get tired of how much Maddie hero worships her mother. So, I'm giving in. I know that I already have another senator floating around, and who knows, maybe this will bring Sydney out. But this is the storyline that's loud. So here you go.
Dr. Sara Sanders, Senator from Massachusetts.
She was elected to the House initially after squeaking out a very narrow win in the primary. Her district is one of the bluest in the country, so the general election was almost easier. ;)
After a couple of terms in the House, she ran for Senate where she now sits. She is an incredibly popular and polarizing figure, unafraid to speak her mind on science issues. She runs into problems with the more radical side of the party given that she is rather centrist and pragmatic on terms of police presence and military actions. But she is well respected and a popular face on MSNBC. There has been some public desire for her to run for president, but Sara has no desire. She wants to stay in the Senate where "she can get shit done."
Anyway, if she pops up, it will be with the [storyline] dirksen building because that's where her office is. :)
