Saturday at 10:42pm I became a father. Thomas Andrew Bonwell was 3.85kg, 56.6cm. And for the first time in the past three months my parents were in the same room with each other, smiling and happy. I'd honestly never seen either of them so genuinely happy. Reena's parents, aside from being a little cheesed off that my family monopolized the naming, were even civil and contented as well. He's an all around miracle, this one.
Saving the pictures for later, at least publicly. Sent some to all the family in the States, including Katie, who's still in New York. It's taken me all bloody night to get off Skype with her. She says he makes her ovaries ache, which I don't particularly need to know, but she won't stop cooing over him. But Reena said she can have the next few grandbabies. She had a rough time; labour took forever, but now we're all settling down, happy and healthy.
