I left my YouTube page open one day, I don't even know when, and I came back to find McKinley watching a bunch of random videos. My "Recommended for You" section is hilarious, now, btw. But since then, I've let him watch videos now and again and he always comes back to Stef Sanjati.
Last night, Mickey said to me, "Mommy, she's really pretty. I like her." Stef is a transwoman and I find myself wondering how much Mickey knows and which part he's reacting to. He loves to wear my tutus. He wants a baby sister so he has someone to play dolls with. His favorite color is pink. I don't care how my son identifies as long as he's happy. But I'm curious. And he's only 5, so I don't think he likes likes her.
But I'll also admit to having a girl-crush on Stef.
